My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A Northern New Englander in NYC, via Washington, DC. Been here for three years, still having fun finding new things to enjoy.

I spend the working hours in lower Manhattan, and I work hard while there. But I value a work/life balance and try to get back to Brooklyn and out of the suit as soon as the day is over.

I love mountains and trees, and I try to get out of the city for a nature recharge every chance I get. I'm going to suggest walking in the park a lot, FYI.

Autumn is the best season, and I'm looking forward to it! Dark beer, brown liquor, crisp air, and I can finally enjoy cooking and baking again.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been INCREDIBLY busy for the past several months helping to coordinate Brooklyn's 2nd Annual Motorcycle Film Festival. Wrangling sponsors, industry leaders, and film makes from all over the world is a lot of work. Who knew? But it'll all be worth it during the show, from September 26-28th. If that sounds cool, ask me for more info!

I'm enthusiastic about my job, and I'm looking forward to moving my career forward. But I feel this space is better served with what I'm doing with my life rather than what I'm doing with my job.

I'm enjoying the summer with lots of motorcycle rides and working on bringing the second annual Motorcycle Film Festival to fruition. I get out of the city every chance I have to camp or hike, but when I'm around I enjoy looking for neat places to wander around, with the occasional beer garden or rooftop thrown in.

I prefer Brooklyn to Manhattan, but will happily venture anywhere if invited. Maybe I just haven't seen the right side of the island yet. I definitely don't frequent the clubs, and you'll probably find me more at home in a pub or dive, especially one with picnic tables in the back.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told that I'm pretty good at making people laugh. I'm fair at flying a kite and above average at scrambled eggs. I have fixed electrical appliances, installed window blinds, and put in AC units for several friends, so I guess I'm good at favors, which would make my mom proud.

I enjoy cooking and baking, I'm getting pretty good at breads.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told I have nice eyes, I guess. I don't know, so I'll let you make up your own mind if you decide to say hi.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read all kinds of books, high-brow to low-brow, it doesn't really matter to me. I don't think I've read a book recently that I didn't like. I read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, On the Road, and A River Runs Through It every year.

Movies are a bit all over the place as well. Classics are great, I enjoy most of the work by the Coen Brothers, I appreciate what is going on in Wes Anderson's head (but Fantastic Mr. Fox is his best, in my opinion). I really like Monty Python.

I get my TV fix via binge watching Netflix. Archer, HIMYM (no spoilers!), Doctor Who, Daria, and recently Adventure Time because I'm a nerd, and because shut up. It's awesome.

I like all kinds of music. Long term favorite band is currently The Hold Steady. I'm also listening to a lot of folk revival right now.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There's only one thing I could never do without and that would be a bottle of seltzer water. And a lime. So, two things. Seltzer, lime, and a knife to cut it with, and a glass.

The four things I could never live without would be a bottle of seltzer, a lime, a knife to cut it with, and a glass. With ice and a cocktail umbrella.

There. Six things.

Can I have a few more? A good book, Pandora, a camera, and a lint roller. For the cat hair.

My motorcycle.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

Also: it's all well and good that the Yellow Brick Road goes to the Emerald City. I'm more interested in where that Red Brick Road leads:

Where should I ride? Why am I not out riding right now?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
out and about. I'd rather be out than in, unless in includes game night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wear an apron when I cook. True story.

if you'd like to grab a beverage, be it a beer, glass of wine, or cup of tea! I'm equal opportunity when it comes to drinks, and not every get together needs to be in a bar. Beer gardens are nice weekend spots, too!
