My self-summary
Hi, I am Matt and I live in Bristol. I enjoy eating out, going to the cinema, going to gigs, going for a pint in the pub and generally socialising. I do a bit of voluntary work at weekends which I really enjoy, and I do a bit of water clolour painting now and then, but whether I am any good is a matter of opinion. I'm generally chilled out and try not to let things worry me.

I Love the country side, and I really like the country side in Winter. It has a barren beauty about it. Other things I love are being in a tent or caravan when its raining outside and being nice and dry and cosy inside.

My favourite places in the UK (that I have been to) are: The Peak District, The North Norfolk Coast and East Anglia, The South Coast and Cornwall.

Camden is the best place in London.

I also like exploring castles, ruins and stately homes. I really appreciate the hard work that the national trust and English herritage do to preserve our history. I find history really interesting, even though I dont really know a huge amount of it.

I don't really have a dress style. I am not trendy or alternative, but somewhere in the middle.

I LOVE beer. Not just any beer, but real ale! I probably drink my own weight in real ale on a weekly basis.

I am a supporter of The Arsenal. Not just Arsenal Football club, but THE Arsenal. I go regularly to home games.

I dont like biggotry, racism, ignorance, self importance or people that dont care about anyone other than themselves.

I am passionate, thoughtful, creative, slightly eccentric, caring, sensitive, funny and nice.

Under Milk Wood is my favourite Radio Play. It was written by Dylan Thomas and broadcast by the BBC in 1954. Richard Burton plays 1st Voice. It really is awesome.

I have a degree in Environmental Science which I dont use (yet). Environmental issues are fairly important to me.
What I’m doing with my life
Well, I have been to uni and I now work full time for a large insurance company. My job IS boring. I tend to spend my free time with my friends in the pub, on my allotment or volunteering.
I’m really good at
Im good at all sorts of things, but you'll find out what they are when you get to know me. I have however been told that I am a good friend and I am a good listener. My house mate thinks my Chickpea Curry should get a Michelin star, and that I should get the "best at reverse parking" award
The first things people usually notice about me
Errrm, Ive been told I have nice eyes? I dont really know. What did you notice about me?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love film ecpecially indie stuff and horror. Stanley Kubric pretty much kicks ass and I have a DVD box set of his stuff. I like Charles Dickens adaptations. The best one in my opinion is Martin Chuzzlewit which the BBC did. Amongst others it features Paul Schofield and Keith Allen.

I also love food and like to think I can cook pretty well. I havent managed to poison anyone yet so I guess thats a good sign. My favourite foods are Italian, Chinese, Indian, British, Morrocan (actually most styles). I don't eat eggs though unless they are disguised in a cake or Yorkshire pudding etc. Real ale is the nectar of the gods.

As for music, well I really like old skool Punk, Rock, Indie, Jazz, Classical...all sorts really. I am quite happy to listen to most things except some R n B or anything a bit "chavvy". If listed all the bands I like here then there wouldn't be much space to write about anything else.

Im not a huge reader but I loved "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", some Stephen King stuff and H G Well's "The War of the Worlds".
The six things I could never do without
My Local Pub
My watercolour paint box and brushes (and a decent hard pencil)
My 1992 Rover Metro in "Henley Blue"
My Friends
My Family
Mobile Phone
My Laptop
THE Arsenal
A decent pint of real draught beer (mmmmmm yummy)
Crispy Aromatic Duck pancakes (again, yummy!)
Oxygen?

Whoops, thats more like 11 rather than 6!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I could do if I never had to work again, and what I am going to be up to at the weekend. I do think about "I wonder whats for lunch?" quite a bit too.
On a typical Friday night I am
In the pub with my mates trying some decent real ales or doing my voluntary stuff.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Dont be silly, this is for everyone to see! However, if you're really that interested you can always ask me.
