I am a human being. I'm constantly redefining what that means. What
There are things that I choose, (or don't), the people that I
surround myself with and the things I love.
I desire self improvement, and care. I love to think, and
experience. I have done a lot in my life, and have many stories. I
live and I learn and I live, each time savoring the
I am not one for excuses, though I make them. I live and hope to
keep living for a long time, if not indefinitely! Though I accept
that some things are not possible for me, I try to maintain that
they may be possible for someone or something. This keeps me alive
with an incredibly open spirit and curious vigor.
I love to love and be loved. I love to give and I create value
wherever I can, for myself and others. Sometimes my thoughts come
across as dry or even emotionless, but I am a very emotional being.
Someone I care deeply for said to me once that I have "A romantic
nature tempered by practical self interest" I find this to be my
ideal. For I do, as well as think, and in my doing, become the Man
I hope to be.
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider "ME.
What I’m doing with my life
Im a Cellist! What a dream. I play music, and I furnish my skill on
a very old and beautiful instrument. I think and read, and
generally try to become a better human being. I meet all kinds of
interesting people here and around the world, and I love learning
from them as well as teaching everything I have learned.
I’m really good at
Cello, Thinking, Caring, Finding Solutions, Creating, Cooking,
Pulling things out of thin air..

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love the great gatsby. It may be my favorite book. And every time
I read it as I grow it means more to me. A few other favorites are
more wordy philosophy. I love Kant, Kierkegaard's fear and
trembling. I like fight club. Game of thrones. And too many more to
list. But those are what popped in as I was writing. REVISION: I
love books that make me think and challenge me. I loved Daniel
Khaneman for writing "Thinking, Fast and Slow" a book that truly
opened my eyes to so many of my hidden biases and perceptions. It
was the beginning of a flurry of good intention to become a better
person and to constantly admit not only the possibility of my
wrongness but my own ability to correct. I read current events, and
science, sometimes economics and staples of great human wisdom like
"The Art of War", or Various arguments by the greek philosophers. I
do a fair amount of online reading as well. I've always been
fascinated by the nature of the physical universe as well as the
nature of intelligence and consciousness. I love pondering
possibility and progress, and the next step, though I savor many
volumes of literature that enrich my present as well. The knowledge
I absorb from these readings keeps me grounded and happy. It is the
gateway to a better life and a better world. I share them all with
anyone that comes to my home. (my bookcase, and lending
Music as I'm sure you've realized, plays a huge role in my life. I
love music for its effect on the soul and the mind, so whatever
does the job is on my list. A couple of deeply personal and beloved
selections would be any of the second movements from Beethoven
between 4 through 7. I love Mahler's 5 symphony, and Mozart's
9,20,21 piano concertos, there is Rachmaninoff and Saint Saens,
(Duke Ellington and so many other great Jazz contemporaries. I love
new music as well. Tame Impala, Floom, Kendrick Lamar (many solid
old school rappers that share the style) I used to listen to the
Beatles and Led Zepplin on a constant basis but now they are sort
of on the shelf. Again, asking might get you a better
Some movies steal the soul. I love Humphrey bogart. Clark gable.
And the style and setting they played. On a more modern note. The
batman movies. Some Tarantino. And Miyazaki. Of course, "Last Tango
I have taken to watching TV while I practice scales, so I watch a
lot sometimes. South Park is a must, Always Sunny in Phili, Band of
Brothers, curb your enthusiasm, to name a few.

The ability to revise this list
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life. The Universe, Everything.
Why people do what they do. Why I do what they do.
I hear music. Maybe that is a thought.
I think about many little things. Little ways the world works. And
they add up. Sometimes to large understandings.
Perhaps I think about timing too much.
I think about if "too much" exists. I know too much air will kill
you. Watch out for that air
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm fortunate enough to live every day with a lot of freedom. I
usually get my grind work done during the day and relax or do
something at night. There are plenty of days that are the opposite.
So to answer the exact question, "Friday" is sometimes my "Monday".
On that night, or nights of leisure I can be quiet and watch a
movie, be creative and play music or have discussions with my
friends about the subjects we love or find too important to ignore.
I spend a good amount of time alone, contemplating, absorbing
knowledge or playing my cello, walking, sometimes there are weeks
at a time where I wont do much else. There are plenty of extremely
social weeks also, where I'll go out to eat or dance with people,
or throw a great party at my apartment. I think as a rule its hard
to come up with all the answers to anything, especially on the
spot, so I'll leave off that I'm extremely open and adventurous,
and its not likely that I'll turn something down, unless I'm up all
night.. Though that sometimes happens too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Though I regularly get past it, I am deeply insecure about how
people perceive me, my music and my life.
