My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who's this nut whose main photo is him with another girl?! Relax, ladies. She's my sister.

The majestic panda is my spirit animal because they're eccentric, cuddly creatures that don't mate very often.

I'm an itinerant grad student from Texas.

Here's short list of things I enjoy/like:

Books, food, humor, bacon, easygoing people, travel, history, Bill Murray, corny jokes, psychology, video games, movies, dogs, beer, science, discussing - not arguing, women in red lipstick, whiskey, the occasional cigar, having a lazy night in, cheese, music, education.

Now a few things I'm not as fond of:

Raw onions, entitlement, selfishness, reality TV, intolerance, Twilight, people that can't stand a little bit of silence, talking on the phone, most country music, most rap music, traffic, being serious all the time, Pizza Hut's take on pizza.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm studying a very math-y subsection of psychology. Ask if you want to know more - I'm always willing to talk about my research. I make my living like most grad students do: teaching and/or doing research for their university (see 'living in poverty' for more information).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
1. Trash talking when I'm destroying you at Words with Friends.
2. Netflix
End of list - that's all I'm good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My glorious beard, my soulful browns (eyes), or my immaculate dimps (dimples).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies: Comedies are the best - anything by Mel Brooks is awesome. The Thing (1982) is the best horror movie ever made.

Books: Most things by Cormac McCarthy and Charles Dickens, Anything by Ernest Hemingway, Vonnegut, or Charles Bukowski. Also, nerdy game of thrones-esque fantasy novels and Isaac Asimov's sci-fi. The Great Gatsby is my comfort book.

Music: I probably listen to the music that your parents listen to. Beggars Banquet (Rolling Stones) and Stadium Arcardium (RHCP) are probably my favorite albums.

I've had a (my age here) year love affair with food. I'm not picky.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, internet, delicious, delicious cheese, Netflix, humor, Frank's Red Hot sauce.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The usual: destiny, fate, the inextricable relationships in our lives that are neither accidental nor somehow in our control, what to have for lunch, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing something involving grad school. Sometimes something involving alcohol. Sometimes Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I own a small, cast iron bear and I make it wear a similarly small sombrero. It's prominently displayed in my apartment.
