My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a single mom of a 9 year old girl, a part time waitress, and full time wanna-be writer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend my free time creating and devouring stories and I really want to find someone who will sit quietly beside me and maybe do the same thing. We'd take breaks for food and sex and sleep, and I guess we would have to work and take care of a kid or two, but mostly with the reading and watching too much TV late into the night. So I'm doing that right now, and hoping to find someone else who is doing the same thing who wants to just do it together.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm always the one with the good plan.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I personally think you have the best chance of connecting with someone if you enjoy the same kinds of media. So, this is in depth:

These are books I'll read over and over, mostly horror stories:
The Passage, Justin Cronin
East of Eden, John Steinbeck.
I Am Legend, Richard Matheson.
A Simple Plan, Scott Smith.
A People's History of the United States, Howard Zinn.
The Vampire Lestat, Anne Rice.
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Hunter S. Thompson.
The Dive From Claussen's Pier, Ann Packer.
Station Eleven, Emily St. John Mandel
The Wool Trilogy, Hugh Howey
Seed & The Shuddering, Ania Ahlborn
Pretty much everything Stephen King has ever written.

Movies.. I like watching movies. Favorites are: The Big Lebowski *nothing compares*, Fear & Loathing, American Psycho, Very Bad Things.. I seem to like humorous movies that have very f'ed up themes. Honestly, I am more of a TV watcher, although I haven't had cable in years.. I am a Netflix user and tend to get a lot of TV shows... All time favorites are: X-Files, The West Wing, Lost, Dexter, ER, Weeds, Six Feet Under, House, Jericho & Desperate Housewives - boys, don't knock it til you try it. Oh, and I have a history of watching Waaaaay too many documentaries that make me cry. Truth hurts.

Music... I don't expect anyone to like the music that I like, but would be pleasantly surprised if someone could share a bit of this enjoyment with me. My favorite bands are either geriatric or dead. The Cure, Bob Marley, Siouxsie & the Banshees, David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, Peter Murphy, Psychedelic Furs, & Everything But the Girl. Can you tell I went through a goth phase in high school? Don't worry, all I retained from that period is some of the music and some leather. However, I do quite enjoy these also: Imogen Heap, The Postal Service, Hellogoodbye, New Order, Elliot Smith, Saint Etienne, Stars, The Strokes, The Submarines, and er.. Britney Spears - it's a guilty pleasure. Oh! And The Shins. Can't forget the Shins.

Foods you ask? I like food. If we're talking genres, I'd have to say I like Mexican the best, followed by Italian, followed by dessert. Fried clam strips should be its own food group in my opinion, but all other seafood is BLEGH! Yes, I'm THAT GIRL who hates sushi. I'm a really, really picky eater, and I am not going to apologize for it. I'm also not going to cave into "C'mon try it, just try a little bite." Been there, done that, grew up. I LOVE going out to eat in new restaurants though. You want to go on a date? We're eating! But watch out.. bananas will make me projectile vomit.. like magic!

Video Games: I do not and will not play them. Any of them. No, not even that one. Nope, not that one either. Nope, still not kidding, I'm past 30 now, and I've figured out that they're not for me. No, not even Minecraft.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The impending zombie apocalypse
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working and/or home with my kid.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In some regards I consider myself judgmental and close-minded and at this time in my life I'm not willing to give some people chances. If you've come this far down my profile, pay attention here:

Please don't waste our time messaging me if you identify with any or all of these things: if you are politically, socially, or fiscally conservative, a bigot, a hater of minorities and gays, an avid church goer, a vegan, a gun owner, or a member of law enforcement.

Likewise don't message me if you don't enjoy the company of rather large, liberal women who err on the side of socialism and just want everyone to fucking be nice to each other.

I also support legalizing marijuana and abolishing the death penalty with an equal and burning passion.

Oh, and I love sex and want it badly, but I I probably won't realize you're trying to flirt with me until we're already kissing.

So, good luck with all that.

I'm really serious about that whole "reading quietly next to each other over a re-run of X-Files" thing.
