I'm an off-beat beauty who's proud to be a bit of an odd duck. I'm not a fan of categories, as I don't fit well into most of them. But I am a fun lady who likes to encourage good vibes between cool people.

Friends say I'm a creative thinker who's more of a city girl at heart, but I love to escape Up North as often as possible. I enjoy travel, especially when I can get off the beaten path, and I thrive on diversity, and seek it out whenever possible. I prefer house parties over the bar scene, movies over TV, and believe in the power of a good meal. I know my boundaries but like to get outside of my comfort zone. I don't always know what to look for, but I definitely know a good thing when I see it.

I like being around people who laugh easily at themselves. Trustworthiness and intelligence matter to me, as well as sense of responsibility for our fellow man. I'm looking for a guy who can cheer me on and enjoy the experience of life with me. Someone who isn't too worried about what "people" may think. A man who considers his existence but doesn't obsess over it, and who approaches life with curiosity instead of fear.

I am currently working as the Executive Director of a non-profit that uses the arts to teach job skills to teenagers that need them most. I really enjoy my job and am coming into my own professionally. I'm also working in the fun world of Organizational Development consulting and I have been keeping busy visiting farmers markets, cooking & traveling.

Cooking, connecting with new people, being efficient within ambiguity, figuring out the root cause, identifying patterns within chaos.

Some random favorite things include:
Cooking on weekend afternoons, with friends coming over later.
Sitting on the dock Up North at sunset.
Playing Sheepshead and Cribbage with elderly men.
Hiking in the woods with my dog. (I miss you Ginger)

Favorite book to date: Jitterbug Perfume, by Tom Robbins. I read quite a bit, but usually wander the library stacks and pick books that look interesting.

Favorite movies include: American Beauty, Out Of Africa, Office Space, The Wonder Boys, Lost In Translation, Stranger Than Fiction, and way too many others to list.

Favorite music: All kinds of it, but I tend to lean toward old-school soul.

Favorite foods: They are all delicious ~ Greek, Japanese, Korean, Southern Italian, Soul...

How I could redesign the world's ways of doing things in order to make it a more collaborative and inclusive existence for more people.

Why the wrong people always seem to end up in charge.

Generally it involves relaxation time, maybe getting dinner and/or meeting some friends at the local pub for a pint.

I sleep a minimum of 8 1/2 hours per night, and I love every minute of it!

I also loved (and still do) The Muppets. Rowlf was my main man (or dog...whatever)
