Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a middle school English teacher who lives in Manhattan and
teaches out in the 'burbs. I love to talk, laugh, and interact with
people of all walks of life. I've been fortunate with so much in my
life and am looking for the one thing that seems to be missing - a
sincere, strong relationship.
I love to try new places in the city, and while I've lived here for
years, I've realized I'm not the greatest New Yorker. Love spending
time with people who want to explore hidden haunts, but I still
haven't gone to Eataly. Come inspire me to be a tourist once in a
I spend most of my time laughing, even (or especially?) when others
seem to find it impossible to do so. I don't need to be the focal
point of a room, but can certainly hold my own in a friendly crowd.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm in my 12th year of teaching and still love it, even on days
that the state ed department makes it difficult to like. I love to
travel and would love to meet someone who also wants to see the
world, or can at least understand my desire to.
My days and nights generally focus around a combination of
teaching, lesson planning, grading, exercising - or coming up with
an excuse not to (ahem), enjoying a bottle of wine, running around
with my eleven nieces and nephews, going to dinner, wandering
aimlessly, and making a plan to break/curb my Groupon addiction.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
In no particular order:
1-finding the humor and pleasure in everyday life
2-relating to others
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, it's usually my hair or eyes. After they have a moment
to speak with me, they often find that I laugh hard and
Can't beat me, so join me...

I'm a plain, boring eater but love going out to eat with
adventurous eaters/foodies. I love any music that doesn't give me a
migrane or have a twang. I love to read, but don't spend as much
time doing so as I'd like during the teaching months.
Hmmm...it's more fun to talk about the specifics of all of these
things in person, no?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. my family and friends
2. great conversation
3. my passport...I know, not very original.
5. a perfectly timed cocktail
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-why that person over there just did whatever he or she did and
whether he or she knows I totally just saw the whole thing. (I love

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
often doing something low key, sometimes with a friend, a group of
friends, or solo. I love to unwind after the workweek with good
company, a dinner out, drinks, etc. Friday varies - sometimes it's
the perfect excuse to go out big; sometimes it's the perfect excuse
to couch it up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My life is an ongoing sitcom. Just trust me and wait to witness it
