My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Meg! I'm a masters student at Mizzou working for a degree in theatre.

I'm an extrovert and decidedly not a good paperwork person. I find myself quickly and easily obsessed with a great many ideas, but a few have stuck around long enough to become parts and pieces of a person code of ethics.

I do weird hippie energy stuff, and I love it. I believe in the healing power of touch. I believe that happiness often begins with the decision to be happy and the willfulness to see it through.

That being said, I also believe in Jack Daniels and Diet Coke. Or biscuits and gravy. Or the salads at Olive Garden. Or Netflix and rum.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to remember to breathe and treat each day as its own entity. Also trying to keep my room clean like an adult would. :P
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
teaching people to meditate or activate their energy. I'm also good at laughing. As long as the jokes are funny. Or absolutely not funny.

I'm working on being good at teaching and answering emails. Essentially, I'm working on being a grown-up.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually hear me laughing before they see me. And there's my hair (which is red and huge and curly). I like to think I'm a very inviting person and that I'm generally open to new people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I recently fell absolutely in love with the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. I also read a lot of plays. Like a lot of plays. I really like Greek tragedies. It's kind of nerdy.

I love movies and television. Most movies. I'm not gonna lie--action movies are really hard for me to watch and care about. Other than that, movies are great. I LOVE seeing movies in movie theaters, especially those with really incredible graphics or animation. As far as TV goes...if anyone tries to come between me and Downton Abbey...I will take them out. I've recently fallen in love with Orange is the New Black and American Horror Story.

I listen to blues music, classic rock, alt rock from the nineties, operas, jazz, and some new stuff. Not a lot, but some. My favorite thing is live music--a live blues concert is perfection. Especially with a beer in hand.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Diet Coke
Perfume and other smelly-goods
My cat Loretta
Mardi Gras
Another Diet Coke--the bitch don't play.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The potential for community outreach through theatre.

Actively putting positivity into the world around me.

How to be a better teacher.

What my cat thinks of my fashion decisions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If not in rehearsal, I'm probably having some beers and possibly watching bad television or spending time with friends. Or both.

Cards Against Humanity may be involved, The Heidelberg may be involved, or just drinking and being a critter.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a total cat lady. I mean, I only have one cat, but I refer to myself as Mommy and to my friends as Aunt or Uncle So-and-So. She's my fur child and she's precious.

You should message me if you want to. And if you have a really good sense of humor. Look, think of the funniest person you know. If you can make that person laugh, then you're funny. Bottom line.
