My Self-Summary
I haven't been on here frequently in a long time because I have a lovely boyfriend that I have no interest in replacing but I am always interested in talking to people. I have what I can only describe as pretty much boundless enthusiasm for people and what they have to say. I can also recommend myself highly as an acquaintance and friend and have garnered such reviews as:
"She sometimes answers her phone"
"If it takes 15 minutes to get somewhere, Meganbob will take half an hour to get there and call for directions at least twice"
"Bobilicious"
I can also give you these 'fun facts' about me!
-I'm 5'10" but slouch a lot so look about 5'8"
-I cannot burp on command
-I drive a PT Cruiser named Linus
-I have been in 2 wrecks, both while the car I was driving was stationary.
-Orangutans and Marmosets are my favorite primates
-I do not want to swim with the dolphins
-I have really crap distance vision
-I like the smell of old books
-Salt and vinegar potato chips are my favorite
-I smoked for 8 months but was really shit at so gave up
-My favorite tv show is Top Gear
-I have never been in a physical fight with someone
-I am on Twitter as twitter.com/Meganbobness
-I have read every single Discworld book because I am that big of a geek about them.
-In middle school, I was sometimes referred to as Daria (from the MTV cartoon) because of my dark hair, large glasses, and tendency towards sarcasm and cynicism
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to develop some wine tasting skills as well as learn how to read and enjoy poetry casually. So far both are going pretty well. I also want to try and learn a little bit about cars. My friends and I recently started a book club which I am super stoked about. Our first book is The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver
I’m really good at
Calming people down
Making lists
Getting sinus infections (apparently)
I can draw cartoon animals, but not people
Baking muffins
Getting along with animals
Blogging to some extent
Finding books to read
Making Mexican food
Being curious about the world
The first things people usually notice about me

The six things I could never do without
1) Water- I always carry a bottle of water in my bag with my wherever I go, even if I'm going to a restaurant because hey, I might get thirsty in the car or something.
2) Chapstick- My lips get chapped really fast and I hate the feeling of my lips being dry so I carry Burt's Bees (TM) chapstick with me everywhere.
3) Notebook and pen- I never know when I'm going to want to write something down or will need to just talk myself through something.
4) A book- It's generally a Terry Pratchett book because it has to be something that will make me feel happy while I'm waiting in lines or for an appointment with a professor.
5) A good cd- I drive everywhere and I don't generally listen to the radio so my car is full of cds. I'm currently listening to "The Singles" compilation of The Clash.
6) Pads and tampons- Pretty self explanatory, I'm a girl and it's best never to leave home without these things just in case.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Who am I?
Who are you?
What makes people happy?
What happens to us when we die?
Is gender performative?
Does gender matter?
Does having children ruin a marriage or strengthen it?

At a certain age do you stop fearing death?

How can "good art" be defined, or for that matter, good music or literature?
Do humans need physical contact with others in order to be happy?
Is Philosophy an important study?
Do people that are crazy know that they're crazy?
If they know, do they care?
Why are The Clash so great?
