I love all Palanhiuk, my favorite is Invisible Monsters. I read a
lot of books for young adults as I take book advice from my 12 year
old nephew. Recently I've read Discovery of Witches, a few original
Sherlock Holmes and I am currently reading The Night
Circus, which is excellent!
I often say, "oh that's my favorite movie". Not necessarily in this
order: Adventures in Babysitting, So I Married an Axe Murderer,
Trainspotting, Singles, Bridget Jones Diary, When Harry Met Sally,
Chocolat, Snatch, Shakespeare in Love, Love Actually, Closer, Pride
and Prejudice (BBC only), Fight Club, Battle Royale, Mystery Men,
Departed, Four Weddings and a Funeral..... I'm not a hopeless
romantic, but I SWOON over Colin Firth and therefore enjoy most
everything he's in!
TV is so good these days!!!! Breaking Bad, Six Feet Under, The
Office (Jim and Pam's wedding is so magical), Parks and Rec, 30
Rock, Grimm, Dexter (last season was so disappointing), Sopranos,
True Blood (once they realized the show was a complete joke and
made it extra campy), Twilight Zone, X-files (I have a cat name Fox
Mulder and hermit crabs named Dana and Scully), Shameless (watch
this show - it's better than good), The Wire (you are forced to
watch AND like this show if you live in Portland - and I have a mad
crush on Omar aka Chalky White). This brings me to Boardwalk
Empire. Saved By the Bell (I just did that). Game of Thrones-
shizzz - did you see the red wedding episode? Mad Men.
I enjoy most all music. I love to see anything live. The Cure is my
favorite band of all time - I don't really listen to them much
anymore, but they still have a warm spot in my heart. And here we
go, Sleigh Bells, Jake Bugg, Radiohead, Bjork, Jane's Addiction,
Porno for Pyros, Electric Six, Beyonce, PUSA, Fleetwood Mac,
Pretenders, Patsy Cline, Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, Reverend Horton Heat,
CCR, most grunge, most oldies, so much electronica, old country,
rap, R&B, POP - ooh! Ting Tings - LOVE THEM! I used to wish I
was married to Paul Simon.
So, I'm kind of weird about food. I don't eat any mammals. I've
been this way since High School. I don't care if people eat
mammals. I have nothing to preach about. I feel I would rather hug
a cow than eat a cow. I still eat chicken, turkey, fish, seafood,
etc. I wouldn't mind hugging a chicken - so I don't know why I
still eat chicken. It's odd, I know. I won't change my ways either.
Otherwise, eggs and cheese are probably my favorite foods. All
cheeses - all of them! Eggs any way except baked - quiche may taste
like the best thing ever but the airy consistency just doesn't work
well in my mouth.
