I am creative, happy, and aloof.

My Self-Summary

I draw a lot. I tend to doodle on whatever is around when my mind is wandering. I draw the best stick figures you've ever seen. I've been doing a drawing a day since last October. Over a year, go me. I sing in my car, loudly. What can I say, I like music. I've found little kids in other vehicles find my singing amusing.

I once played cowbell in a band. This was two years ago in Buffalo, but it was awesome. Owning a cowbell is a good thing.

I like local dive bars. Kind of seedy places, but comfortable at the same time. I do like nights out, but quiet nights in seem to be norm lately. I don't mind though. I am apt to just go for walks for no reason just to get out of the apartment at any hour of the day.

On a daily basis I try to read the news, listen to NPR, read a book, and do some sort of exercise. I'm slightly nerdy like that. I like all the crazy new science in the world and read some books along that line that take me a glance or two to understand completely. But I feel better after I've figured it out.

I drink a lot more coffee than I should. Coffee has replaced breakfast as a meal (which I found on those 'how long will you live tests' actually shortens your life expectation more than not eating breakfast). If we ever go out to eat you'll notice I drink a lot of water. I can't figure out why, but if someone puts a glass of water in front of me I'll drink it and ask for more. And if no one brings me more, you'll probably find me reaching for your glass to drink.

I spent my summer biking to and from work (stupid cold weather, ruining that). However now that winter is upon us and it looks like snow soon, I'm hoping to ski.

What I’m doing with my life

Working. Drawing. Lounging.

I’m really good at

Drawing. Smiling. Walking. Making people laugh, or at least at making people at ease around me. Cats....cats seem to like me.

The first things people usually notice about me

A smile. I originally got a few comments on how I wasn't smiling in the pictures, so I made sure to add a smiling picture. And yes.... that is a Tide shirt with a bottle of All in the background.

Someone once told me I looked young for my age, it was the first thing she said to me, and that it was cause I had "Banging Eyelashes." Whatever that means.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite books: Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass. Fight Club. Inferno. Blade Runner. Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff. The Metaphysical Club. Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln. Gangs of New York. Beowulf. The Metaphysical Club. How to Build a Time Machine. Stupid History.

Currently Reading: The Fabric of the Cosmos

Favorite Movies: Dark City. Brick. Igby Goes Down. The Darjeeling Limited. Kingdom of Heaven. Lots others I'm sure. Oh....Its not a movie, but I own the whole series of Are You Afraid of the Dark.

Favorite Music: Smashing Pumpkins, Pulp, Belly, The Cure, The Clash, Less Than Jake, Radiohead, Drugstore, Social Distortion, David Bowie, Velvet Underground, Johnny Cash, Wussy. (This is where I should insert some generic comment about liking a lot of music, but country.)

Favorite Food: Buffalo Wings. Veggie Tacos. Coffee? Is coffee a food or just a drink.

The six things I could never do without

Sketchpad.
Coffee.
My Cat.
Music.
Comfortable footwear (that's right I said it. I like comfy shoes and sneakers)
Hot showers.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What does anyone think about? What do draw that night? What I should make for dinner? How did I end up where I am now? Where will I be in a year?

All that fun stuff.

On a typical Friday night I am

Does anyone do the same thing every Friday night? Chances are I have no definite plans and am up for whatever. Want to go out Friday?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom.

That's not true at all, but its a good song.

I can't pronounce the word iron properly. Or Volume. Neither of those words are apt to come up in conversation, but when they do people have no clue what I'm saying.

There are a lot of illicit stories and things I could put here. I'm sure everyone has their share. I'm not really private or ashamed about them, but I'd prefer to tell them in person. They make good stories.

You should message me if

You want to. I'm good conversation I promise.
