My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born and raised in Minnesota, then spent a little more than a decade on the East Coast (college in upstate NY and NYC after) along with a decent amount of time in Europe and Asia. Recently moved to San Francisco.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm passionate about learning, both within my own life and with how I seek to inspire others. Whether dance, art, technology, music, history, martial arts, literature, science, mathematics, or psychology, the world fascinates me and I plan to spend my life exploring it as much as I can.

In the meantime, I have founded my own technology company. We build educational adventure games for kids where they solve engineering and art challenges offline.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remixing ingredients for delicious, healthy, simple, home-cooked meals.

Tackling new ideas, projects and hobbies with gusto, and sticking it through to the bitter end.

Adapting quickly to a wide range of situations, from off-the-grid street food in rural Mexico to fancy dinners, from 3am arrivals into Hong Kong to finding myself suddenly homeless in Marseille, France.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I carry myself like a dancer. And I smile a lot (with my mouth and my eyes).

Books: Thinking Fast and Slow, Elegance of the Hedgehog, The Man Without Qualities, Diamond Age, Name of the Wind, Phantom Tollbooth, Matilda, anything by Jo Nesbo, Unbearable Lightness of Being, and yes... Harry Potter (especially in French).

Movies: Shawshank Redemption, LEGO movie, anything by Pixar, Dark Knight trilogy, most by Alfred Hitchcock, the Avengers universe (I have a weakness for action movies), most by Monty Python

Music: Pretty Lights, Saint-Seans, Rupa and the April Fishes, El Ten Eleven, Chopin, Disturbed, Paul Basic, David Keogh, Otros Aires, Eddie from Ohio, Firehorse and many others.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My kindle full of books (I travel light)
2) My iPhone full of podcasts, audiobooks and music
3) Physical touch and intellectual connection with other people
4) My journal, to record ideas
5) Stationary, for sending friends real letters
6) Skype, for having video calls with my 4 year-old goddaughter in France.
7) Chocolate. Because no matter what, I always make room for good, dark chocolate.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever I'm learning at the time. My brain is (almost) always active. Thankfully I'm also quite adept at letting it all go to sleep at night.

How incredible it is that every single person you see has their own hopes, dreams, pains, fears, and passions. And some unique bit of knowledge or experience that no one else has.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies. Often I'm having a relaxed dinner with good friends (some of whom are often visiting from abroad), and heading out dancing after.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still play with LEGOs. I justify it as research for work, but often I'm really just having fun. :-P

you're at a good place in your life, are willing to approach new connections with loving kindness and with candid communication, if you can enjoy moments of complete silliness (often involving ridiculous puns) interspersed in open-ended, 'big question' conversations.
