My self-summary Propose an edit
Name's Melissa, and I'm apparently too lame to come up with a
clever nickname for myself. I'm temporarily living in Phoenix after
having lived in Tempe/Mesa since 2004. I quit my job in January and
have been living off of my tax refund/rebate since then...as you've
probably already assumed, both recourses are now depleted. I
suppose I'm picky about how I want to spend my time for financial
gain, but I'm getting to a point of desperation . I accidentally
put school on hold after taking up my grandmother's offer to go on
a Mediterranean cruise, and I'm not sorry I did (though there are
secret parts of me that are). Having said that, I went to ASU for a
year, lived in the dorms, moved to Mesa and consequently attended
MCC. I focused on studio art while at ASU, but switched toward
creative writing at MCC. Since I was 11 or 12, I knew I wanted to
be a children's book author/illustrator...but I'm getting pretty
tired of telling people that. I'm still going to make it happen,
but I'm just much more fond of doing than saying. On my 22nd
birthday I had a minor epiphany, and now have the bug to attend
Prescott College in the very near future.
Are you impressed yet? Oh yeah, I thought so.

I can't speak for others, but when I look in the mirror I tend to
