My self-summary
I’m originally from that state to our east and from a city known as “The Good Land”. I moved to Minneapolis for undergrad and never left. I’ve lived in a few different Minneapolis suburbs, but never in St. Paul. I now own my own home in the North-ish Minneapolis area.

Most of the other relevant topics are covered by the questions below, so I will list some random facts.

-I am Myers-Briggs type ESTJ
-I'm generally "indoorsy", though I do love the usual nice weather patio excursion or walking around the lakes/parks.
-I can drive anywhere in Minneapolis, but St. Paul scares the shit out of me.
-I love that time of year when the radio ads for the state fair start (Nubian Goats!).
-I like most live sporting events, but only a few on TV (most lose something in the translation)
-I’m pretty darn good at pub trivia. (Made it to the Tournament of Champions this year!!)
-I have a fear of processed lunch meats.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated with my doctorate degree in 2007 and practiced in my field (healthcare) for 5 years. Now I’m back at the U of M and teaching in my old doctoral program. Not sure if I will go back to practice at some point, I like where I’m at now.
I’m really good at
-Memorizing song lyrics (which obviously comes in handy multiple times daily)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Almost anything, but as of late mostly non-fiction. Mary Roach (Stiff, the secret lives of human cadavers), Malcolm Gladwell, Freakonomics, lots of books on psychology or human behavior (How We Decide, Black Swan etc.). Hyperbole and a Half, Let's Pretend this Never Happened.

Movies: Classics I grew up with, fun "heist" movies like Oceans 11,12,13 and the Italian Job, stupid action movies, Shaun of the Dead, The World's End, Scott Pilgrim, Kick-Ass, Zombieland, Red...For some reason I will always watch a movie on TV even if I own it on DVD, especially Shawshank Redemption.

Shows: Crime shows (Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, The Blacklist, Elementary), Food shows (Anthony Bourdain, Food Network, Travel Channel)

Food: Pretty much anything! I have a list of restaurants and food trucks I’d like to visit someday.
The six things I could never do without
In no specific order:
-The internet
-Cheese
-Books (actual physical books, not e-books)
-Air conditioning
-The "Stuff You Should Know" podcast
-Laughing
