My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's face it--most of online dating is looking at the pictures due to that whole attraction thing (so have a looksee!), then maybe skimming a profile. So, I'll attempt to summarize.
I'm a good person (my family and friends can vouch for me). I love to travel (you may ask "who doesn't?" with an eye roll, but I've met a few people who have no desire to leave the contiguous United States...if you are one of those people we won't get along). I'm an occupational therapist for kids (no, that doesn't mean I get kids jobs--but really after 3-4 years old they should be doing something with their lives, right?). I like to be a little snarky in my profile. Hopefully you're funny. And can cook. It would be great if you were a decent human being as well. Oh, and you have to like music. And dogs...I'm considering getting a giant dog, so you'll have to like dogs.
Anyhoo, send me a good 'ol fashioned email and we'll see if we can set off the sparklers and fireworks. Or we can meet and see if we like each other's faces. Game on!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying it. Visiting people. Loving my family. Eating delicious food.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking things involving cheese or sauces. Taking long drives, but not getting lost. Cuddling and being affectionate. Killing off houseplants. Napping. Getting sunburns. Having unruly, curly hair. Eating brunch other people have made. Doing the Charleston (or just about any dance involving hands looking jazzy).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My curly’s a bit of an orb, so it’s hard to miss.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Favorites are The Book Thief, Everything is Illuminated, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, Sputnik Sweetheart (anything by Murakami).
TV: Anything on BBC (if you haven't seen Orphan Black, do it now!)
Food: Just about anything, though Thai or Indian are my favorites (and an occasional Red Mill burger). I'm learning to like sushi, I have issues with seaweed wrapping itself around my food...
Music: Pickwick, Divine Fits, Phantogram, Frightened Rabbit, Beach House, Fun, Sleigh Bells, Lorde, M83, Chairlift, Ryan Adams, Tim Easton…so many!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, Travel, Friends & Family, Humor, Coffee, cheesy poofs
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How eggnog is made and why do I like it. Why so many guys on this site are either hanging off a mountain, in their car, or in the bathroom.
Whether or not you're making faces while you read my profile (hopefully super happy giggly faces!).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Well, in the summer my friends and I are often on my rooftop eating a mix of the best Trader Joe's has to offer up in snacks or barbecuing. But I also could be at a concert, at a restaurant, at a musical, or out of town--I'm a veritable where's waldo (and yes I do own a red and white striped tee).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I've probably spent too much time trying to figure out what to write that's so darn "private".
