I am happy-go-lucky, logical, and enigmatic.

My Self-Summary

I'm on a dating hiatus. This profile mostly exists because I might want it again eventually, and I am too lazy to delete it and recreate it later. It's not so much that I'm jaded or anything, I've just given up on having anything resembling enough time to date meaningfully until either work goes away or (the more likely scenario) school goes away.

Let's see I'm gay, half-korean, half lots of other stuff, a fratboy, a computer scientist, a chemical engineer, a student, and an eagle scout. None of these things really defines me though, but collectively they work as well as anything else.

I was raised in Pennsylvania, went to school at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD, and moved to Cambridge, MA for my job. I've also lived in Colorado, Alabama, and Texas.

I enjoy the outdoors, especially backpacking, see eagle scout reference above. I like to travel to new places, although now that I have the money for it, I never seem to have the time :-( I enjoy tennis, skiing, dancing, and generally hanging out. I spend a lot of my time with a very close group of friends I've known since the early college days.

I can't be categorized into little boxes. Ask iameeyore; he agrees. I am unboxable. I'm allergic to the box! But seriously, I can just as easily have a good time watching a football game (my favorite spectator sport) or baseball game with my college frat boy buddies as I can watching a drag show. I'm eclectic like that.

What I’m doing with my life

I work in the BioPharma industry as a Process Engineer. It involves something with bioreactors, computer models, chinese hamster ovary cells, and proteins.

I also go to grad school part-time at Tufts. I've managed to finish all my classwork as of April 09, yay! Now it's just thesisizing on metabolic modeling of hepatocytes.

I’m really good at

being efficient.

The first things people usually notice about me

My half squinty eyes? I don't know. What's the first thing you noticed?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Stumbling on Happiness, Blink, Man's Search for Meaning, currently reading The Language Instinct

Movies: Boondock Saints, Equilibrium, Lord of the Rings, The Departed, and Super Troopers to name a few.

Music: All kinds, especially stuff I can dance to.

Food: sushi, icecream, dark chocolate, chicken, steak, turkey, veggies, and all those other delicious food groups.

The six things I could never do without

Never is a pretty definitive word, but I wouldn't want to go for too long without: my family, especially my sister, my friends, my computer, or my bed. I can't count to six, and I don't care.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I want to be when I grow up.

On a typical Friday night I am

Here's a breakdown of my last few Fridays:

-Shakespeare on the Commons followed by beers at Pour House.

-BBQ and going away party at a friend's house.

-Friend's birthday / Pool at Big City in Allston

-Boston Guerrilla Queer Bar at the Kells in Allston

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

My biggest fear is irrelevance.

You probably shouldn't bother. See the first paragraph of my self summary.
