I am eccentric, open-minded, and understanding.

My Self-Summary

I'm not really much of a girly girl. I'm very straightforward and very difficult to offend. I feel things very deeply, but I hate drama. I can get pretty crazy, and often have a bizarre and sarcastic sense of humor. Sometimes I'm talkative and outgoing, but I have my quiet moods of introspection.

Sometimes I think I love music as much or more than I love life itself. I suck at small talk. I'm liberal politically and socially. I'm not materialistic at all. I love cats. I think astrology and psychics are bullshit.

I hate that this site forces me to think of three adjectives to describe myself.

I also feel like I should clarify something. When I say I'm a music lover, I mean precisely that and nothing more - I love listening to my favorite music and it has a lot of emotional significance for me. I'm not trying to imply that I'm a music nerd, have a lot of musical knowledge, or have an impressive or extensive CD or mp3 collection. However, I'm very open to anyone who wants to introduce me to new music because I discovered most of my favorite music through friends.

What I’m doing with my life

I graduated from Penn State (best school ever, in case you were wondering) in 2005 and I'm working as a customer service representative for an internet bank. Other than that, I guess you could just say I'm trying to enjoy my life while I'm still here.

I’m really good at

Understanding people, making jokes that are simultaneously hilarious and terrible, singing, debating, sudoku puzzles, editing

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm noticeably thin, I have large eyes, and a I have a nose ring. Besides the physical, people notice shortly after meeting me that I talk fast and I'm somewhat of a dork. I make up my own social rules and tend to say whatever's on my mind.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite books are The Giver by Lois Lowry and The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.

My favorite movies are Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, V For Vendetta, Saved!, Office Space, The Wedding Singer, The Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, The Neverending Story, Napoleon Dynamite, Dogma, Clerks, Borat, and Walk The Line.

Favorite music! - Hanson, Bad Religion, Less Than Jake, Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab For Cutie, Bright Eyes, The Arcade Fire...I also like a lot of assorted songs from many artists and I have a weakness for '80's pop.

Favorite foods...Hmmm. I'm a really picky eater, but I really like pasta, Reuben sandwiches, grilled cheese, and celery sticks slathered in peanut butter.

The six things I could never do without

My computer, my music, my cell phone...um, food?

This section is stupid.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

People in my life. People and the world in general. What I should be doing with my life. I think about everything really.

On a typical Friday night I am

I'm either at home on my computer or out with a friend or friends at a bar, the movies, a restaurant, shopping, or what have you. I spend some weekends up at State College, PA. I'd like to go to see more live bands than I do currently.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have a Hanson tattoo. Yeah, that's right. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

You should message me if

You are a good conversationalist. If you have an awesome sense of humor. If you have no problem being open and expressive about your thoughts and feelings. If you're open-minded. If you're intelligent. If you can be intense about things. If you're not into material crap. If you're just a little bit crazy.

As far as dating goes, I'm primarily looking for casual dating right now (this is NOT a euphemism for sex, although sex is awesome! I am not a prude by any means!). If we really like each other, there is always the possibililty that I will change my mind and things could become more serious. However, if you're mainly looking for a serious exclusive relationship, you may want to move on. I don't want to rush into a relationship.

If you live close to me and think we'd get along really well, don't hesitate to contact me for friendship. It would be great to have more local friends!
