My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Originally from the hardened streets of Telford, PA, but residing in the city ever since college. I'm an impeccable cook, a movie nerd, former curler, fan of both dogs and cats, and a morning person, which 16 year old me would have never believed, but going to the gym at the crack of dawn has that affect.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at a university, and am planning to start my masters in the fall.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Half filling out my OK Cupid profile only to get sucked into Storage Wars reruns for the next 6 hours. I'm a fine cook, and a passable baker. Getting about 1 out of 5 Jeopardy questions right and thinking I'm a genius. Waking up 10 minutes before my alarm is set to go off. I know enough about French wine to sound like I really know my stuff, but also enough to know that it's a topic with a crazy amount of depth, and that I'm only skimming the surface.

I have a really good memory, but only when it comes to useless knowledge. Get me sufficiently liquored up and I can still recall all the lyrics to One Week by the Barenaked Ladies.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The Narnia like thicket that is my beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I have a cookbook fetish, but I'm trying to cut back due to lack of shelf space. Infinite Jest is pretty tough to beat, fiction wise.

Music: Lately? Bluegrass/Americana (Crooked Still is my current fave) and Doom metal. All time? Alternative/indie stuff (Replacements, Sleater-Kinney, Husker Du, Broken Social Scene), slightly off-center bands (Melvins, Mike Patton's various projects), party rap from 1998 through 2005.

Movies: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Airplane!, Forrest Gump, Hitchcock films (North by Northwest was the first of his I ever saw, and still my favorite), Atonement, Ran, Casablanca, Singing in the Rain, Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, hell pretty much and 80s comedy movie. I also love hockey movies for some reason (Slapshot is one of the greatest comedies ever), even though I never got into the actual sport.

TV: Game of Thrones, Parks and Rec, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Eureka, Psych, The Simpsons during its entire 10 season run.

Food: Can't chain this guy down, I'm up for anything. But mostly tacos.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Ancho Chili Powder
My Kindle
A pair of Tim's
Squat racks
Hot showers
Netflix
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
FOOD. Potential impulse buys on Amazon, and what the Dave Coulier is up to these days.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Drinking wine and watching film noir. Concerts in basements, going to mid-brow bars.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I totally dig old MGM musicals, and I'm a sucker for a well done rom-com (looking at you, Love Actually)
