I have lived a life that could fill at least a book or two, with 14 years spent working and living abroad as a professional opera singer (without the figure to match the parodies) singing lead lyric soprano roles in many of the world's best opera houses. Although that life seems like another incarnation after many years away, I only mention it as living abroad profoundly impacted who I am and my entire view of the world. My attendance at an opera these days is dictated by the desire to see an old friend in the cast and usually involves free tickets...
My subsequent career path probably demands explanation or at least exploration over a glass or two of something... From music to marketing to who knows what next, I am interested in art, architecture, aesthetics, theater, general and specific pursuit of enlightenment, music, literature and comparing notes about things read and must-reads. Open to discussion, albeit opinionated (Rachel Maddow is one of my heroes) and enjoy lively but not aggressive exchange of ideas. I am fun, a bit of a mimic (which served me well in my theatrical years) and am the opposite of stuffy.

Right now, I am doing product development/management for a Swiss kitchen systems company, which involves international and domestic travel (that part is great for my wanderlust) and a fair amount of creativity and aesthetic judgment (the Excel spreadsheet tasks evoke less enthusiasm).

I am really good at putting a room together (decorating), putting people at ease in whatever room we are in and if my heart and attention are in the right place, cooking.

The first things people usually notice about me are my openness, my attentiveness and perhaps my smile. Not sure what to put here and may change this when I actually ask someone what they first noticed. What I wrote is an assumption.

Am currently reading Let's Don't Go to the Dogs Tonight and thoroughly enjoying it, love any Nancy Meyers movie, Aaron Sorkin's scripts (no one writes better dialogue), am currently indulging in catching up with previous seasons of Mad Men (love the pitch perfect attitudes and fashions of the era) my latest favorite CD is by Rumer (less intense than Adele, but from the same country) and I really truly love ice cream, red wine and Thai Green Curry...but not necessarily at the same meal.

Music, Netflix (although I did boycott them for a few months when they precipitously raised their prices last year), a lovely home, WRTI, wheels, and hope.

The meaning of it all. Spirituality, forgiveness, trying to overcome or eliminate ego.

Having dinner with a friend and/or watching a movie.

I am an open book when I get to know someone, but might be less inclined to bare my soul in writing here.
