My self-summary
I want to make some new friends around town. I love living in New Orleans but I want some new people to go out with. I recently finished my master's in historic preservation. I'm always open to meet up for a drink, as long as you're not trying to get me to drive out to Metairie to drink at a chain restaurant.
What I’m doing with my life
Job-hunting and hoping to find something in the Preservation field here in New Orleans, because I would really like to stay. Otherwise, road-tripping to visit family and friends while I have the time. I think I've visited Memphis 3 times already this year.
I’m really good at
Drinking and reading, at the same time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some recently read books (I'm counting audiobooks, I listen to them on road-trips): Dog Stars, Where'd Ya Go Bernadette, Silver Linings Playbook, and currently reading Middlesex
Movies: Battle Royale, High Tension, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Romantics Anonymous
Shows: Sons of Anarchy, Shameless (US), Mad Men, The Walking Dead, United States of Tara, Nurse Jackie, Strangers with Candy, The New Normal
Music: I will listen to a little bit of almost any style. When I was in high school I thought country was crap, but now I’d rather listen to pop-country than most of the rock that comes out these days. If I had to pick a favorite song though, it would probably be Al Green’s “Love and Happiness”
Food: Soul food, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, Greek. I have tried to master my grandmother’s recipes, so I can pass them on. I also like to find foods that I’m not familiar with and learn how to cook them.
The six things I could never do without
Good food
Books
Sparkling water
Pets
A garden
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the hell I’m going to do with my degree and whether I should have pursued Archaeology instead.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 20–35
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You want to hang out. You want someone to grab a drink with. You’d like to do a dinner/pot-luck night. Or if you'd like to introduce your dog to mine and sit around talking about dogs.
