What I’m doing with my life

Studying, to put it simply. Other than that, generally trying to figure me out or escaping it. Trying to avoid the latter.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
• Cooking & baking
(especially figuring out a meal without "proper" ingredients from whatever I can find at that moment. Also cheesecakes.)
• Artsy stuff (mostly drawing/painting)
• Dreaming & planning :D
• My endurance in cuddling is yet to be surpassed
• Details
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Red hair perhaps..?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
• Books
I don't read as much as I used to but I've really liked stories like the Harry Potter -series, His Dark Materials -thrilogy, almost anything from Neil Gaiman (including comics), Abarat, some Stephen King -books (e.g. Misery).

Some non- fiction on the bookself to be read: Opening Up, The Demon Hounted World, The Emerald Planet, No Impact Man, Flim Flam (autographed!!1)

• Movies
Some favourites:
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Red Violin
Forrest Gump
(See the pattern..?)
Also all kinds of horrific thrillers and thrilling horrors. E.g. Saw, The Cube

• Music
Music... Oh music I miss you. I listen to music sometimes but most of the time my ears get to enjoy only podcasts. Or more like all the time. However for some reference:
Metallica, Turisas, Korpiklaani, Turmion kätilöt

By no means that's the only type of music I enjoy. Just the first ones that came to mind.

• Shows
Most recent TV-shows: Black Sails, Downton Abbey, Battlestar Galactica, Masters of Sex, Game of Thrones, Hannibal, Dr. Who, Elementary, Once Upon A Time, Sherlock, Dexter, House M.D., The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Stargate(s)

Also for the lulz: The Office (USA), Big Bang Theory, Scrubs, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Conan, all the Penn & Teller shows...

Hell, anything that's funny enough or has a weird storyline/idea - I'm probably into it.

• Games
Video games I've enjoyed: Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, The Stanley Parable

... And of course quite a few games on my phone... Almost every day I just tappity-tap away a Temple run or two or something else that keeps me from doing what I'm supposed to.

Nice boardgames: Dominion, Carcassonne, Dixit, Fluxx, Ticket to ride
..That's not to say that I'm any good with any of them.. :D

• Food
There's so many~ Let's mention Japanese cuisine.
And fish. I like fish. Can't help it.

• Some people whom I respect/am a fan of
Neil Gaiman, Penn Jillette, Tim Minchin, James Randi, Seth Andrews, Dan Savage, Richard Dawkins, Derren Brown, Nobuo Uematsu
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, I'll answer to "Six things it would take a lot of getting used to being without":

• Daily human contact
• Money
• Own appartment
• My iPhone
• The Internet
• Good food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Other than daily mush:

What would the world be like if humans had tails?

How would I try to teach an English speaker to pronounce Finnish...

If I had a TARDIS, where would I go
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday night? What's different about Friday night? Was I invited somewhere? *yawns on the sofa*
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Did you mean: "Interesting and/or weird things about you that you are willing enough to publish on THE INTERNET"?

I'm interested in entomophagy.

I farm cockroaches and mealworms as well as redworms (not necessarily related to the previous statement).

One of my dreams is to have a Finnish skeptical podcast named "Z&ic". I don't have the charisma or the software/hardware nor the skillset needed, tho.. But one can dream, right? (I already have a logo ready... :< )

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Although I have never had a serious/acknowledged same-sex relationship, I believe my sexual preference should say "bisexual" and not "straight". I want to still state that in my opinion stating gender as a binary (only men or women) is not correct, so sexuality cannot be only binary either. Therefore terms such as pansexual and "fluid" might be more proper.
I am very interested in exploring this part of myself, so to be frank, it's more likely I'll answer messages from women (or people who fall under the umbrella term of transgender).

It's important to note that I'm in a committed (but open/monogamish) relationship, so if you're looking for your "the One", I'm perhaps not your first choice here.

I wanted to see if I can find like-minded people and what would they be like.
I enjoy reading interesting peoples' profiles and chatting freely about stuff.

I would also seriously consider agreeing to a walking/biking/geocache/blueberry or mushroom-picking/photography/other-buddy if anyone's into that near me. Also movies, cooking, board gaming, rpgs, painting, drawing etc. would be cool.

And if you have a dog, oh yes please if you have a dog, I can walk the dog! :D I have a serious dog fever but can't do anything about it while I own this "free range" 5,5 kg bunnyrabbit (that would probably kill the puppy).
