Slowly filling this out, it's a work in progress (I'm new here). No one should be able to quantify themselves in a few short paragraphs, or classify themselves in to one archtype, but for the sake of trying this out, here goes:

My life crosses many cultural boundries, and that's fine with me. In my work life I'm a dedicated professional, with good business acumen and an ability to herd cats to solve complex issues that no one else gets traction on. In my personal life, I'm a burner (the Burning Man kind, not the pot smoking kind), a football fan, a sci fi geek, an amatuer carpenter, and a lover of all things fun and exciting.

I am Poly. If you're not familiar with Polyamory you might want to Google it before going further. I am married to a wonderful Poly woman (cattninetails on here), and intend to stay that way. If Poly isn't your thing no harm no foul, but we're not going to be compatible for anything other than friends/adventure buddies. There are no secrets in my relationships, so if you're looking for something hush-hush and on the side, I'm not your guy.

I live in a house full of friends. I have a great group of friends, or chosen family, and we all live together in a large house inside the perimeter. It is fantastic.

I'm a burner, the Burning Man kind. It's a very important part of me, but by no means the only part. I spend a good bit of time helping organize the regional Burning Man events in this area, Alchemy, Euphoria, and GA Decompression.

I'm somewhat kinky, meaning that I enjoy being on either end of kinky sex, light bondage, etc, but it's not a driving force in my life. For a while years back I went to local dungeons with cattninetails and played, but I haven't gone in a while and it's more of a "I could take it or leave it" part of me.

I love to build things. I'm not overly good at it, but I enjoy trying. I'm a better house builder than sculptor if that makes sense, so it's easier for me to build a massive structure than a rocking chair.

I go to Frolicon, Play On Con, Burning Man, Euphoria, Alchemy, and similar events every year. I gave up DragonCon for Burning Man since they are at the same time, but if I don't make it back to the desert any year I'll be back at DC as well.

Work of course, and lots of it.... My job keeps me reasonably busy, and sometimes out of town for stretches.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time helping to organize some of the regional Burning Man events, making my friends laugh, and pretending to be a woodworker...

Not really sure. If I'm not at work, probably my smile and sense of humor. I'm reasonably nondescript in terms of physical appearance (short brown hair, average build, etc)

At work I'm a different person (aren't we all?) and people most commonly comment on how young I look for my position.

Sadly, reading was never a habit that I picked up as a kid, so I don't read that much just for pleasure. Most of what I read is the "how to" type of books. I love to fix and build things. On the rare occasion I do read for fun, it's usually a supernatural or fantasy novel.

Movies are more my speed. I like most genres, except maybe westerns. I grew up watching terrible B-rate horror movies, like Night of the Creeps or Sleepaway Camp, so they are a soft spot. SciFi and fantasy are up there too, with Serenity, Highlander, The Matrix, Flash Gordon, and Blade Runner as some of my favorites. Rocky Horror, Repo, various Kubrik, Tarantino, Roderiguez, Etc...

Shows and musicals aren't the top of my list but I do enjoy them from time to time. Recently saw Wicked at the Fox and it was amazing.

Music tastes center mostly around rock of varying types, from Pink Floyd to Pantera, If I had to pick a favorite genre, but I listen to a lot of different types. Probably easiest to list the presets in my car:

Classic vinyl - classic rock
Faction - punk, ska, hip hop
Lithium - grungy 90's
Bluesville - blues
Garage - misc Indy
Chill - EDM

Food - Yes. I'll try anything, and like just about everything....

Friends

I'm not very materialistic, so that's really the main thing. The rest would all be the standard survival type answers, water, food, etc...

I do love a good beer or cocktail, so I guess that's on the list.

The outdoors.

Everything. My mind is a hundred mile an hour type. I spend a lot of time on work, becuase it's pretty demanding. Inventing some cool gadget, world domination, world salvation (not the religious kind), designs for a new construction project, which hobbies I want to fail at next....

It depends. If it's been a long and exhausting week I might just be at home, hanging out with my household, having some drinks and goofing off. Or we might be throwing a sizable party at our place.

If I'm out, it's probably an adventure that involved group dinner and drinks, a late night event at a club, a movie outing, etc.

Since I also do a lot of weekend long events like Frolicon, DragonCon, Alchemy, Euphoria, Burining Man, etc, I might also be at those events having a blast!

Not sure it's private, but it's a bit embarassing. In my current close friends, just about everyone is extremely talented at some form of art or performance (usually several). Firespinning, painting, sculpting, DJ'ing, acrobatics, burlesque, etc... While I can do a little bit of some of those, I excel at none. I am randomly the left brain logical mathmetician type of our group, who posseses little of the creative skills they do.
