My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm somewhat on the quiet side, but the open heart has a way
of coaxing me out, enticing me to play, to laugh, to whirl
spontaneously through the wondrous intricacies of
relationship. I'm somewhat mischievous and can be a bit of
a smartass at times, though my sense of humor is basically innocuous. I am faithful and trustworthy and a good listener--all elements of friendship, which I believe to be the foundation of any good and lasting relationship.

I'd love to find a woman who is full of life, whose heart is deep and overflowing, who is bright, humorous, loving and kind...playful, passionate and sensuous...someone who feels deeply connected with Spirit AND firmly rooted in her body...just someone who has the heart to love me as I am, and will happily allow me to return the favor. :-)

I am passionate about growth, learning to open the heart more and more, reaching through fears and inhibitions to a brighter light, creating mutually beneficial relationships, connecting with the peace and joy within me that wants to extend itself into the world...and into the heart of another.

It seems like I've spent my whole life exploring the deeper
questions and allowing myself to be explored by them. And I've come to the conclusion that these questions are best explored by fully living them, and that this can only be done within the context of an honest relationship; for without 'the other', even if I could answer all the many questions that have hounded my days and haunted my nights, they wouldn't be particularly fulfilling without someone to share them with. And in the spirit of forthrightness I must confess that I have a slight neurological disorder called dystonia. It's not a big deal except for those who seem particularly intrigued and enchanted by the notion of possessing the "perfect" partner. I would gladly disabuse the wandering soul of all such notions, and pray you do the same for me.

What I most yearn for in this life is to live from the Awakened Heart. I yearn for a relationship that springs from our Being and nurtures our Becoming. I yearn for great abundance in all good things. I yearn to be free of yearning.

I love novels (especially classical literature) and spiritual texts. The Razors Edge is a good one, Look Homeward Angel is the most beautiful book I've ever read, War and Peace is probably the best novel I've encountered, also like Somerset Maugham and DH Lawrence. As far as spiritual literature goes, I Am That! may well be my favorite. I also like Byron Katie's books a lot (A Thousand Names for Joy is transforming), Tolle, Wilbur, Pema Chodron ... and I think John Welwood's books on relationships are the best I've ever read. I really like Saniel Bonder's work as well and am currently reading and enjoying The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene' Brown, How Long Is Now? by Tim Freke, and when God talks back by T. M. Luhrmann. As far as contemporary lit goes, I think Pat Conroy is pretty amazing.

Movies...whew! too many to name. From To Kill a Mockingbird to Sophie's Choice to Slingblade to Miller's Crossing to Fly Away Home to The Lives of Others ... I'm all over the cinematic map. Speaking of maps -- Off the Map -- there's a sleeper for you. The best movie I've seen this year is an amazing Japanese film called Departures. I also really liked Whiplash, and I tend to like trilogies: Lord of the Rings, Matrix, Bourne, Dragon Tattoo.

You resonate with what you've read here and feel a relaxed urgency around wanting to create a profound heart connection, one that will burgeon forth and become intimately rooted in every aspect of our being. It may seem like we have plenty of time to profile-shop, but life is so short, and the nights are sooo long.

You ache to be with someone who will take the time to really get you and let you know how much your presence is valued in our world -- you know, the one we'll create together.
