Hello there. I'm Patrick. I'm an LSU graduate currently working
full time for a retail/vendor company by day while attending Grad
School at Southeastern by night. I'm a pretty easy going guy. I
like hanging out with my friends, going out to a local bar or
spending a day grilling and just having some fun. I'm a big film
fan, which means I not only watch them but I then nerd out and try
to learn all I can about the film. I even lucked out and had a
Graduate level Alfred Hitchcock class last fall that was in my top
five favorite classes ever. I think I'm a pretty funny guy with an
at times very dry sense of humor who always tries to keep things
light and tries not to take the world so seriously. I'm really just
an easy to get along with kind of guy. Anything you want to know
about me, ask away!
I am creative, funny, and thoughtful
What I’m doing with my life
Currently working full time for a retail/vendor company while
attending Graduate school at Southeastern to earn a Master's in
English with a focus on creative writing. The plan for that? The
degree will get me into teaching, and hopefully the schooling will
help me get on my game and crank out a screenplay like I have
wanted to do for a while now.
I’m really good at
writing, digital art (well, getting better at least), my job,
retaining useless bits of trivia (mostly film and TV). I'm also
pretty good at imitating famous people/comedy bits.
The first things people usually notice about me
I dunno...my hair and/or my beard (or lack thereof). The fact that
I look either like John Belushi or Jack Black, depending on who you
ask. Got a "you look just like Peter Jackson" recently too-a first
for looking like him.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The novel "The Day After Tomorrow", "Journey to the Centre
of the Earth", "Kingdom Come", the graphic novels of the "Preacher"
Movies: Superman: The Movie, Shawshank Redemption, Indiana Jones
series, Eternal Sunshine, Fletch, Animal House...I could be at this
for a while
Music: Classic rock, movie scores (esp. John Williams, Jerry
Goldsmith), a handful of modern artists (Better Than Ezra is
Food: Well, it really is a much easier task to figure out what I
don't like to be perfectly honest
The six things I could never do without
I'm easy, I just have a few: family, friends, food/water. Probably
my large comic collection. Yes, I have a nerdy pastime, so sue me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the future, where I'm going in life
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out at a friend's house, usually cooking something up on
the grill and having a few beers. At times we actually do get out
and have those drinks in public!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In like the third grade, at my aunt's wedding, I "got drunk" by
drinking a (from what I'm told) Shirley Temple. My family still
brings up my "getting woozy." Yes, I know. The shame, the horror.
You should message me if
if you liked what you read and would like to talk.
