My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
OK! So I have to put this in caps at the beginning...
NOT INTERESTED IN DATING MEN! Some new guy friends would be awesome though.
that is all...

Well, here I go again! I've met some pretty decent people here and good friends. Here's to hoping that the trend continues. *fingers crossed*

I am originally from Texas, but have been here for over a decade. I didn't quite fit in there, but I do miss quite a few things. I've still many friends that I've known since I was 6 years old.

I work in Westminster by day, train and teach kung fu by night, and live in downtown Denver the rest of the time. I'd move closer north but who wants to give up the color of downtown?
My current endeavor is working toward opening my own school in the near future. I have a busy schedule but can make time if inspired to do so.

I'm here to make some new friends, not romance. My current circle of friends are either too far away, or aren't interested in doing many of the things I like to do beyond drinking or clubbing, or make plans and flake out. Looking for some folks to actually do stuff with!

I'm tired of playing "the game." I know how to play and I know how to get what I want. I just do not like having to use Jedi mind tricks (joke alert!). Too tiresome. What is really hard is to find genuine people who know themselves and what they want.

I do have to issue a warning: I regularly am sarcastic, facetious, as well as jocose. I've been told that is hard to tell when I'm kidding. Rule of thumb: if what I've said is ridiculously offensive or too silly to be true, then most likely I am just joking.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I have a full time job as well as train and teach kung fu full time.
♦I have my plans in motion so that I will have my school open in a year.
♦Training my dance and guitar skills back up, and improving on them
♦Trying to set a good example for the family back in Tejas :)
I don't really have too much free time. Weekends are pretty open to meeting people. Of course, I also practice the fine art of chronocraft. If I need more time for people, then I'll make it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing
painting
video games
martial arts
parkour
dancing; well club dancing.
I used to perform in a salsa troupe a while back and am getting back into it.
Same for playing the electric lead guitar; just getting back into it after putting it down for too long.

If anything I would say I'm very good at persevering.

Oh! Also, I can take some pretty decent pictures with my big fancy camera. Not exactly skilled, but I do like it with the pointing and the clicking. (translation: I like photography!)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Going by past experiences, I would say that I kind of look like a womanizing, douchey, dude-bro with a square head. Also, it seems that there are a lot of women who love that look.

My posture and scowl. I am told I have a bit of an intimidating presence and intense glare. I assure you, I am capable of smiling and goofiness... goofyness... goofinie? Uh, being silly!

Also, I do get more than a few looks because of my physique. I am quite fit, and exercise daily. I like to wear tank tops, but in the past that has attracted lots of shallow of attention. It is a nice ego booster, but lacks nutritional content. I kind of stick to the T-shirt wardrobe if I can.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Movies:
There's a broad spectrum and many movies. There's just simply not enough room!
Matrix Trilogy (Yes, all of them), Iron Man, Spirited Away, Up, Meet the Robinsons, Fist of Legend, Mallrats, Avengers, Spiderman, Karate Kid (both original and new), Wreck-it Ralph, Pan's Labyrinth, Labyrinth, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Fearless, Ip Man

Books:
I don't get very much time to sit down and enjoy a book, but when I do, life is on hold until I'm done. World War Z, The Forever War, Zombie Survival Guide, Harry Potter Series, Manga, Napalm and Silly Putty, The Art of Peace, The Life Giving Sword.
♥Thanks to this spiffy new invention called the "E-book," I can now read read Oscar Wilde and Nietzsche while at work. :)

Shows:
I don't really get to watch much T.V. Netflix for me. Dollhouse, Scrubs, Firefly, House, Warehouse 13, EuReka, Dr. Who (current addiction), Breaking Bad, Fringe, Alphas, just about anything science-y

Music:
Pretty much anything, as long as its good. I do love to listen to metal and industrial when working out.

Food:
I. Love. Food.
I eat a lot. If you think you have a concept of how much I eat, try doubling or even tripling it. Its uncanny. Its scary, very scary.
I'm a bit of a utilitarian when it comes to food due to my training and schedule. When I spoil myself, its sushi, Indian, sushi, ramen, sushi, seafood, sushi, Chinese, sushi, Thai, and potato chips (you thought I was going to say sushi huh?).
Home cooked Mexican food is great when I just want to feel nostalgic. Its exciting when I find a place that serves food that comes close to mom and abuela's cooking. One place in Colorado so far and I would love some suggestions. Tamales and posole anyone?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Lets see
-kung fu
-conviction
-dancing
-art
-music
-laughter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-How hungry I am and what I am going to eat next.
-Recalling the badass dream from the night before and how am I going to make it into another short story
-Silly explanations for social mysteries. (e.g. Why some people wear their hats incorrectly and how one can possibly get putting on pants wrong)
-The other side of a debate
-how to expand my concept of understanding
-what frightens the living hell out of me, and when I will go out and do it
-How various people would look if I drew them as a superhero and what their powers would be.
-What I am possibly forgetting

-How to squeeze in all the things I like to do into the measly 24 hours in a day.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not training, I am unwinding, resting, and trying to socialize with people outside my regular circle. Also, it seems that I revise online profiles. (looks side-to-side)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still watch some kids shows every now and again....
I'm lying, I still watch kids shows. A lot. Aaaaand comics!
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 18–70
  • Near me
  • For new friends

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
First off: I'm not a monkey. Don't ask me to do a kung-fu trick, sweep you off your feet with dance moves, or play you an epic guitar riff. Too much too soon gets on my nerves REAL fast (also, I don't have any epic guitar riffs yet). I've put too much into each to just put on a show for every Thelma, Scooby, and Shaggy that comes along.

You are up for a workout/ drinking/ dance buddy!
-I like to do many physical things! Parkour, wall climbing gym, Red Rocks, hiking adventures when the weather is good. I've been doing these, for the most part, solo for the past 5 years. It would be nice to have some company every now and again.
-Booze is great, but drunken philosophical debates are a little less strange when more than one person is involved. ;)
-I have a salsa performance coming up and I wouldn't mind having a dance partner to practice with outside regular rehearsals. I'm pretty sure if my roommate catches me practicing by myself in the kitchen just once, a weird air will fall on the apartment. (I'm open to male partners as follows, but understand that I am not attracted to men. I have been known to go through extreme circumstances to increase my skills, so dancing with a guy is cakewalk)

You are big on communication! We're all growed-ups and capable of using our big people words. Honestly, if you can't communicate, or are a fan of the whole social situation strategizing business, don't bother at all contacting me. I will just drop you like a hot potato. I've too much to do and already been to that rodeo.

*addendum!* A part of communication is listening. If you have a habit of asking a question then only hearing what you want to hear, do us both a favor and please don't bother. Also, I ask that you actually read my profile. FRIENDS. If I was in the market for sex, I know I am quite capable of getting that without resorting to the internet.

!!! If by some miracle, you and I can have a comprehend-able conversation whilst one or both of us are incapable of proper speech (one of us is brushing our teeth or we have our mouths full of food) you will be immediately ranked up to Awesome person of whom is to be trusted and prioritized! Now if we can do the same with just facial expressions and waggles of the eyebrows, I think my heart just might give out...
