My self-summary
I'm a professional musician and teacher. I'm currently starting a new internet-based teaching bizness, which I'm pretty excited about!
I guess that's not a self-summary...it's just what I do. How do you sum up yourself? It's not easy. Umm..I like rainy weather and strong coffee, old blues music, the Rolling Stones, I'm not very good at chess, but I admire people who are, I prefer European food and social space to American. But I love the wilderness here.

I'm a bohemian at heart, but I don't always act like one...

I don't play video games, but I enjoy watching others do it. (Play video games, you letch, you.) I'm a big fan of trickster figures, you know, Loki, Bugs Bunny, Br'er Rabbit, Coyote, GW Bush etc, and while I don't imitate them in real life, my friends and I seem to have a lot in common with them spiritually, existentially, what have you. I think it translates into, among other things, being iconoclastic and politically skeptical.

On the other hand, I'm a traditional guy in some ways and I can say I'm completely out of whack with the 21st century! In a good way, of course... -- it's not just because the zeitgeist has undeniably morphed into some odd and freakish cultural behemoth or Kraken, beyond the most garish and obscene imaginings of David Lynch or Andrei Tarkovsky or Stan Lee! :P It's more that I think I've spent a lot of time mentally in classic literature, history books, old movies, psychological and philosophical speculation etc, so I'm sort of in a different headspace, I guess you could say.

However, I am consistently intrigued by the 21st century, as much by what it will become as by what it is. When you've been around more than 3 decades, you start getting an idea of when the air is changing and it doesn't always follow logically on what came before. But hell, it's always surprising. Whether that's good or not,,,I'm not sure. Who could have thought there could have been someone more reactionary and bizarre than Ronald Reagan? And yet, there was and we ain't out of the woods yet.

Wow, this might not be the kind of thing that is supposed to go in this section... *does shot*

It's official.,,I can't write a self-summary and I ain't gonna try! You'll just have to get to know me...the old fashioned meet and talk way.
