The words in the next paragraph are not mine, I pinched them, with permission, from someone else's profile but they are a good summary of me and my personality.
I might not be someone's first choice, but I'm a great choice. I may not be rich, but I am valuable. I don't pretend to be someone that I'm not because I'm great at being me. I might not be proud of some of the things I've done in the past, but I'm proud of who I am today. I might not be perfect, but I don't need to be. Take me as I am, or watch me as I walk away smiling. One day you might wake up and realise you lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones, I am who I am, you'll get to know me in your own way, the basics are, I am caring, tactile, loving and have a lot to give to the right person, I am fairly flexible in likes and dislikes, and enjoy most things.
From hereon, my own work.
A clip of me on youtube, Dec. 24th 2011 opening a spoof Christmas present, it's a long story, I was a little bit inebriated but at least I didn't swear. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQDFTiS05Uk
Divorced March 2012, I was legally separated for about 3-4 years before that. In no rush but looking to ease back gently into dating, ideally meeting someone with about the same amount or no more baggage than I have, you can't get this far in life without acquiring some unfortunately.
Non telly watcher/owner. Radio is by far my favourite, I love the BBC, radio 2 & radio 4 the most, the former for the music, the latter for its quality comedy, documentaries and current events programmes. I dislike (actually hate) commercial radio and also it's cheap tacky commercial TV relation that has put me off, no longer wasting my time watching crap like Jeremy Kyle, Big Brother, Judge Judy et al. If there ever is a TV programme I want to watch I can normally catch it on the BBC i-player or it's equivalent.
Politically, left of centre always have been and I expect I always will be, interested more and more on green issues. And don't get me started about the Daily Mail
I have three adult sons, one of them is married and lives in the S/W of the USA.
I enjoy getting out and about in my car and visiting random places.
I'm tolerant, except of bigots and the like, I'm very enlightened, fair play for all is something I've always believed in.
Religion, I don't do religion but it's something that so many people have let themselves become brainwashed by, it's one of the things I can tolerate (sorry that word again) because in essence most religions teach/preach peace and love, that said I am bothered by the ultra orthodox of all religions.
Profession wise I was a paramedic, I spent almost 24 years in the London Ambulance Service. Now retired I spend my time mostly doing driving jobs for those unable or unwilling to drive themselves.
Wondering why when it comes to binary there are only 10 types of people, the one who understands it and the one who doesn't
Forgetting what I went upstairs for.
Putting things off, a proper mañana attitude.
Avoiding clichés like the plague
The horror churned out by James Herbert & Stephen King.
The various witterings of Bill Bryson amuse me.
Films like The Shawshank Redemption and Schindlers List. The same kinds of films most of you all seem to list.
My most favourite shows and I saw them both in London's West End were My Fair Lady & Fiddler on the Roof.
Food wise I'm easily pleased.
My three boys, all grown up and living their own lives.
My radio, I love music & comedy, thank you BBC radio 2 & radio 4 as already mentioned.
My mobile, sad but true
Coffee, my get up & go juice
