My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Getting to this point in my life has been a roller coaster. There are a number of things that I would have liked to have done differently, but I feel that every experience, good or bad, can be learned from. I'm very happy with who I am at the moment and even more excited about the possibility of tomorrow. I'm in an improvement stage of my life where I'm trying to eat better, quit smoking, work out, read more, reconnect with music and become an overall more balanced person.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've recently started a new endeavor and I'm really excited to see where it takes me. I'm lucky enough to work for a great company that has a lot of faith in me and my abilities. My work revolves around internet leads for real estate, property management, real estate sales, and leasing.

I love all games. The more strategic, the better. I'm involved in oldest Rotisserie Baseball League in Madison. (The guys in this league are a Who's Who of Madison and then me, I'm lucky to be a part of it) I have aspirations of being a professional poker player. I am the co-event director of one of Madison's largest charity events, Hold'em with Hellmuth for Agrace HospiceCare. This year's event should put us over the 1/2 Million mark. I would love to open up a poker club in Madison and depending on how the laws change over the next few years, maybe I'll get the chance.

For the last year I've been playing my trumpet again and I'm so glad that I picked it up again after 15 years. At one point I was a classical trumpet performance major at the UW. I currently play with the Madison Municipal Band, the Madison Community Orchestra, the Edgewood Chamber Orchestra, the Lake Country Orchestra and the Oconomowoc Jazz Project. My mind is always running and nothing calms my mind like rehearsal.

I hate exercise, but I want to be healthy. I'm still trying to find that thing that I enjoy doing that will help me to reach my health goals. I used to golf quite a bit and it is my goal to golf as much as possible this summer. If I could find a pool that I felt comfortable with I'd start swimming again. Swimming laps clears my head and would probably go a long way to help me lose that 30lbs. I'm still trying to quit smoking, but I still have confidence that I'll be able to do so. I have not had a cigarette in November. Much like being an alcoholic, once a smoker, always a smoker, so I've been clean for 6 months.

I am a true Badger Football and Basketball fan and I used to love Hockey as well. I think I could be convinced to love it again. I'm also a fan of the Packers and the Brewers. I love March Madness, the Majors in golf, the World Cup and the Little League Baseball World Series.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
giving great advice and now I'm getting better at taking great advice.

Also, I think I've figured out what's wrong with our current political dilemma! Gerrymandering! No one has to actually run for office anymore. I don't know exact numbers and currently, I don't feel like looking them up, but I know Tammy's first two elections were super close and from her third one on, she's had no opposition worthy of mentioning. Her district was completely re-written after her 2nd election. Candidates no longer have to appeal to the middle. Both sides make deals to secure enough districts that a middle of the road candidate has no chance whatsoever. It's time for the courts to once again step in and declare certain districts or all of them unfit. When either party doesn't have to earn their elected positions than no candidate is willing to compromise on any issue. The middle begins with us. [I love politics, but I'm happy to talk to other people about it if it's not your thing. If it is your thing and we don't see eye to eye... I will always have respect for your views, even if you're an idiot :)]
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I like to talk a lot and quite often I don't realize how loud I am. Could be my salt-n-pepper hair or it could be that I'm still in denial about how old I am. I keep thinking everyone is 15, 25, 50 or 75. Although I'm closer to 50, I still think I'm closer to 25 and my body reminds me every chance it gets that I'm not.

Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Game of Thrones, anything Robert Ludlum including The Bourne Trilogy, Game Change, Too Big to Fail, Good to Great, Team of Rivals, The Greater Journey, Founding Brothers, presidential biographies, David Baldacci novels, Templar Fiction and anything regarding the possible lineage of Jesus Christ.

Movies: In the theater I like to see movies that need to be seen on a gigantic screen: Marvel Movies, DC Movies, Hasbro Movies, Star Wars, Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Die Hard and Indiana Jones.

However, I love a ton of other movies... The Quiet Man (John Wayne), It's a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Glory, Shawshank Redemption, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Supertroopers, Bull Durham, Blues Brothers, Syriana, Ides of March, Primary Colors.

Shows: Wicked, 1776, Camelot, Les Miserables, Book of Mormon, West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Into the Woods, City of Angels, Man of La Mancha and Guys and Dolls. I'm sure this was meant to be something else, but I have a strong background in Musical Theater (my mother was a director and producer and I've worked the stage, lights, played in the orchestra and acted in a number of shows)

I recently went to the Milwaukee Rep to see Assassin's and to the Starlight to see Avenue Q. Assassin's was very good, but Avenue Q was OUTSTANDING! [The REP's season continues strong: Clybourne Park and How the World Began were also fantastic.] In the next few weeks I'm seeing A Raisin in the Sun and one of my all-time favorites, Pump Boys & Dinettes.

TV Shows:
Dramas: Scandal, Newsroom, Elementary, Zero Hour, House of Cards (I should really watch Sherlock on BBC, but haven't gotten to it yet)
Sitcoms: How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory
Guilty Pleasures: Grey's Anatomy, Glee, Bunheads, Once Upon a Time
USA Network: Almost everything, but Suits is an incredibly great show
News: Morning Joe - it is by far the best news program on tv
Other: Daily Show, Colbert Report and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
My two favorite shows of all time: West Wing and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I own the complete series of both on DVD.

Music: My Pandora Stations
Classical - Symphonies, Ballets, Operas, Concert Bands, Trumpet Music of all kinds. Composers: Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saens, Grainger, Karl King, Herbert L Clarke
80s Rock - AC/DC, Van Halen, Motley Crue

Food: Veranyky (Ukrainian Perogis), Pizza, Steak, Italian (LOVE GARLIC), greasy spoon breakfasts, a good bar burger and fries, sushi, tex-mex and greek food.
Comfort Foods: Hot Dogs, Mac n Cheese
I really love all types of food and I'm pretty much up for trying anything!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-My wonderful dog
-My Trumpet
-Jack Daniel's
-The Sun
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever it is that I'm engaged in at the moment...

-Real Estate (How to utilize the power of the internet for Agents, also I'm developing a new property management idea as well as attempting to figure out how Real Estate Agents can incorporate High Rent Leasing opportunities into their portfolios in order to have better balance during Housing and Rental fluctuating markets)
-Trumpet (I'm currently exploring my options for playing and enjoying my love of music)
-Poker (I'm currently on a self-imposed hiatus from playing in order to concentrate more on my new real estate venture, but I still think constantly about the club I want to open)
-Politics (I'm constantly amazed how both sides of the aisle have become so pessimistic)
-Sports (I have a number of different teams that I follow: including, but not limited to Badger Football, Basketball, and Hockey, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and that doesn't even include that I'm baseball stat freak)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My typical Friday night is more like most people's Sunday night, I would assume. I tend to curl up on the couch and get caught up on some DVR'd TV shows with some Margherita Pepperoni, Jarlsberg Cheese, Triscuits and a pint of Jack and Coke. I don't tend to go out on the town on amateur nights, aka weekends, and if I do, it will usually be late night after the crowd has left my local pub.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm super smart, even if I do stupid things.

I have a vivid imagination and a paralyzing fear of showing it.
