I'm a pretty laid back guy. I can be as serious or fun as a situation requires, although my default setting tends to be Sarcastic. When looking for relationships, I prefer to get to know the person and develop a friendship before we move on to dating. Tried jumping straight into dating once. It was a disaster, so we're not going that route again. The easiest ways to contact me are online (IE: e-mail or IM).

Just so that it's clear, I'm not looking for fuck buddies or one night stands. Soooo... don't bother asking for that.

I'm currently attending classes at SIUC, and am hunting for a local job.

People tell me I'm a good listener. Aside from that... *shrugs* I've also been told that I make a pretty good pillow, if that counts.

I'm usually off in my own world. Alternately, they notice that I use big words.

My favorite books tend to be action/adventure/fantasy types.

My favorite movies are action or comedy movies. I'm not a huge fan of the awkward comedy that features in many romantic comedies or of the low humor that features in many recent movies (IE: not another teen movie). I'm also not a fan of the current trend of horror movies to draw primarily on cheap scares. Modern horror movies have become clones of each other, and it disappoints me greatly. Give me a good psychological thriller any time.

My favorite music is an eclectic mix. I don't like Country for the most part. I'm not a huge fan of teenypop, rap, or hiphop, although good songs do occasionally come from those genres. Shockrock gets disappointing at times, simply because they try too hard to achieve the shock factor.

Favorite food... it would probably be easier to just say what I don't like: Bananas. Can't stand 'em. Dunno why, but I never have been able to. Aside from that, I can eat pretty much anything.

I spend a lot of time thinking about modern culture. Unfortunately, I have a pretty low opinion of the world we live in. However, I'll leave that rant for another time. Feel free to ask if you'd like to know more.

If I could get away with it, I would probably never talk again. Written word is much easier, lets you consider your words as a whole before sending them off, and makes it far more difficult for someone to stumble over their own tongue when their thoughts get ahead of their mouths.

You want to get to know me. I'm not looking for love at first sight, but I'm also not looking for a simple sex partner. Never suggest that to me. It's the easiest way to avoid ever having to interact with me again. Simple, no?
