I grew up in Grand Rapids/Grandville and then lived in Kalamazoo for the past few years while I was getting my (probably useless) English degree from Western Michigan University. I've just moved back into town and honestly I don't know a lot of people and I don't get out of the house enough. I'm miss having an active night life so I'm on here to meet new people and perhaps get a date.

I'm a total geek; I like video games, sci-fi, horror, and all that stuff. I love to read/talk about history, literature, philosophy, etc. However, I'm not so geeky that I'm afraid to talk to girls or go out into the sunlight.

Besides working at my shitty job/looking for a different shitty job, I'm mainly just hoping to get out there and meet more people. I want to get more out of my life and have new experiences. I'll try almost anything once.

I do some writing and I'm strongly considering going back to school to improve my station in life, but other than that I pretty much just chill out.

A lot of people have told me they like my eyes - they're a strange mixed color and no one seems to agree on what to call it.

Books: 1984, A Clockwork Orange, Frankenstein, Less Than Zero, American Psycho, Heart of Darkness, Slaughterhouse-Five, American Gods, Pet Semetary, Good Omens, Choke, and a lot more. I'm also a big fan of the short stories of Edgar Allen Poe, Stephen King, and Neil Gaiman.

Movies: The Big Lebowski (My desert island movie), Apocalypse Now, Se7en, No Country For Old Men, 28 Days Later, Halloween, The Thing, Dr. Strangelove, The Godfather, The Dark Knight, There Will Be Blood, Mulholland Drive. Way too many to list here.

Shows: Game of Thrones, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Archer, American Dad, Breaking Bad, Seinfeld, pretty much everything on adult swim

Music: Tool, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Black Sabbath/Ozzy, KISS, A Perfect Circle, Dethklok

Spicy food, books, comedy central, good beer (hate the cheap stuff), a nice couch to curl up on, and the internet.

A lot... I think too much according to some people. I'm usually thinking of ideas to write about, but I often daydream about philosophical matters: What is the meaning of life? What's the best ethical belief system? Why are gay men the only people allowed to wear leather clothes?

Who knows.

When I was a kid I would pretend to be a superhero by putting my underwear outside of my pants and wearing a blanket like a cape. I was Underwearman, and it was awesome.

I cried like a little girl at the end of Terminator 2. To be fair, I was 6 or 7 when it came out...
