*Fall 2013 Update*
I'm an OKC success story! At this point I am in an amazing relationship with an incredible woman met right here =) So, this profile will stay up for meeting friends and random connections, but not for dating. Good luck, fellow awesome human!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have been operating my own business for the last 3 1/2 years.

I run an online community and resource site along with in-person services. The business focuses on life empowerment through the triforce of holistic fitness, life excellence and visionary leadership. I'm very good at systems thinking and living systems analysis, group dynamics, energy management in the body, and mind-body connection.

On any given day, my job looks like life coaching, personal training, running a bootcamp, teaching yoga, blogging, doing workshops or managing the many little details of my business–it's multifaceted, and I love it.

So basically, I get to support people living a meaningful, healthy and loving life all day long. I love what I do, and I am getting better at it all the time. Though it is a lot of work, I feel very blessed in my career.

Random Extras:
-I had a life-threatening illness when I was 20
-I have a full Gandalf the grey costume (theater quality) and was kind of a big deal at the Hobbit opening in Berkeley
-I have spontaneous dance parties in my room multiple times a day to stay sane.
-I have a secret writing script all my own
-I've swam and played with 250 wild spinner dolphin in Hawaii
-My most recurring dream theme is flying and acrobatics.
-I have a strong draw toward the esoteric and ecstatic forms of personal growth and self-exploration. Deep respect for authentic tantra, shamanism and empowerment arts.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being with others. I'm a great listener; I am genuinely intrigued by all the shades of experience and interest that people have.

Bad puns.

Physical aptitude: frisbee, yoga, sacred dance, tai chi, martial arts, conscious movement, parkour...

Etymology, word play, clear expression of concepts, doing justice to the word.

Adaptation: whether it be a foreign culture, group dynamic, language or new video game, I am quick to adapt and find my footing.

Being alone, being still, being in silence. I naturally recharge through alone time, and it is even more essential now that my vocation has me so outwardly engaged.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I look like Johnny Depp. (they say it, not me!)

How comfortable/safe they feel around me. Comfort in confiding in me.

My high level of honesty, integrity and presence. This can be a bit much for some at first, until they realize I am very non-threatening, and even a big softy.

Intelligent and perceptive.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: LOTR, Dune Series, Mistborn Triology, Golden Compass Series, The Alchemist, Rumi, The Prophet, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Undefended Love, Path of Empowerment, The Yoga Sutras, Hafiz, The Fifth Sacred Thing, Presence, the Happiness Hypothesis, Search Within Yourself, The Uplift Series

In general, a big sci-fi/fantasy nerd- I love the immersive mythos found in Star Wars/Matrix/Middle Earth/etc.... currently reading the Uplift series and friggin loving it.

Also a huge spiritual dork. Well read in terse philosophical/spiritual doctrine. The fiction is critical for keeping me sane.

As for movies and tv, I have a wide range.
-sci-fi/fantasy: Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, Princess Bride, 5th Element, Princess Mononoke, The Matrix, Nausicaa, Star Wars, Galaxy Quest, Star Trek, Monsters Inc., Goonies
-anime: Avatar: Last Airbender, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, almost anything Studio Ghibli
-martial arts/samurai flicks: Zatoichi, Drunken Master, Ip Man, Ong Bak, Kungfu Hustle, 7 Samurai, Once upon a time in China
-epic films: Baraka, Samsara, Hero
-some TV/Youtube: Sherlock, Video Games Awesome, Nostalgia Critic, Scrubs, the Office, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, The Guild, The Daily Show, Big Bang Theory.

Music: I have grown up a passionate casual musician, and have been influenced by many styles of music. Basically, if it's good and I can feel the energy in it, I can groove.

If it's got soul rhythm and vision, I'll probably like it:
-jazz
-jam band
-dubstep
-bluegrass
-world/aboriginal music
-reggae
-bhajans/kirtans
-afro-cuban
-hiphop
-classical
-downbeat

I love playing music, alone and with others. Percussion and melody is in me bones...

Food: I am a foodie. Love to cook, love to eat, love long meals, love adventurous food. Oh, and I'm a tea connoisseur. 'Nuff said.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Purposeful work
2. Humor–dark, snarky, dry, endearing
3. Meaningful friendships/relationships
4. Yoga/dance/fitness/being able to move!
5. Nature/outdoor green spaces
6. Good food
7. Dogs
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can live an even more fulfilling, purposeful, beneficial and alive existence. It's kind of my crack. I am looking for greater and greater expansion into my full potential- in all areas: mental, physical, emotional, professional, sexual... I am very hungry to live a full and truly awesome life. I'm looking for a partner that can do the same.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hmmmm....
-making an awesome meal with friends
-taking a quiet night to myself soaking in the bathtub and reading
-playing Settlers of Catan
-taking in the sunset from a beach or mountain
-having a walkabout
-seeing a movie, theater or concert
-writing and playing music (alone or with friends)
-mdma or psychedelic experience (rare)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I was once engaged.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You put honesty and integrity first. Clear communication of needs, willing to sometimes experience HAS (Human Awkwardness Syndrome) and be able to laugh and take it in stride.

You are a woman that loves to be in her body–sensual, adventurous, active. Someone that is done with codependent relationships, and is demanding an ideal match from her world.

You are a woman that understands that alone time does not meet abandonment, and together time does not mean ownership.

You have your life together enough to have fun, while living purposefully, with passion and with meaning. I know that is a lot to ask, but I also know the universe is hyper-abundant and that none of us should settle.
