My self-summary
I'm a person of many interests and passions that keeps trying to go after all of them at the same time. In other words i'm a mess and having fun with it, or not. Two of my main pulls are music and various forms of writing. I play classical, acoustic, and electric guitar, the uke, and a little on the keyboard. I play and sing in various styles depending on instrument and whim. Same with writing. I tinker with different forms and styles.

I very recently moved to Oakland. Got a great find, actually, through someone from okcupid, who moved to Italy and left me in a room in a great house that has a piano in the living room and a garden in the back.

I have an academic side to me (enjoyed writing my thesis), interest in spirituality, and in most things artistic, philosophical, political, and humorous. I have a Masters that i'm glad for but not currently using, just paying for the pricey education while working in a completely unrelated field to pay the bills and on the side try to pursue that who-knows-what-that's-calling-me that always feels like it's just around the corner, just a little more on up ahead...

My relationship with the outdoors needs a little work. I definitely like the outdoors, just don't end up much in it. But i'm all for exploring some of the areas around the bay.

Like many around here, I have a strong interest in what could be labeled as progressive, liberal causes. I would simply say that i'm for positive development in all its forms. I have a strong daydreaming interest in the potential of conscious communities and how they can offer ways to explore better models for society than the one we've been handed. Basically, i'm itching for ways for society to move forward. Then again, i realize that it's all work in progress, inside and out.
What I’m doing with my life
Tinkering. Working on my music and writing, settling in to Oakland and continuing to explore San Francisco.
I’m really good at
Tangents, and connecting the tangents back to the initial departure point. Analysis. Empathy. Idiosyncrasies. Distractions. Staring off into the distance in either a dream-like manner or serious thinking mode.
The first things people usually notice about me
Friendly, approachable human.

The six things I could never do without
Meaningful connection, music, spirituality, humor/good times, exploration/learning, reading
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music, the quirkiness of humans, artistic/philosophic/spiritual ideas, what i'm doing with my life, the political landscape, the future, goofy things, what could i be doing that i'm not doing, places i should check out...
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, now, working. But otherwise i would be wanting to go out to a bar with friends, check out a new place to eat, go to a show or a movie, or just practice music at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hmm, i'll have to think about this one. For now i'll leave it at admitting that i have a soft spot for Ray Conniff.
