My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
You ever notice that people on here say the same thing over and over again? It's like looking at a catalog where everything is a copy, of a copy, of a copy. We are all fun, easy going and like a good time apparently, who knew? How much can you really tell about a person from these things anyway? It's like a CV for a job application, just a vomit of adjectives on a page that you hope get you the dream job.

Yes, yes, I'm a cynical type, but hey, I'm a romantic cynic. Candle light dinners all the way while we watch the world burn and that type of thing. A good movie and a bit of spooning wouldn't be out of the question either ;)

I am looking for someone that I really click with at this stage of my life and that I can have stimulating late night conversations with. Would love someone who was willing to travel to far flung places with me. Not those lazy sun holidays where nothing happens, but to the places where there is lots of cool shit to explore.

What can you expect from me? I like to think I'm pretty honest so I'll give it to you straight. I'm pretty creative and always have ideas about everything. I like discussing the world around me and all the things in it. I like debates about life and love to play devil's advocate even when I agree with someone. I love to eat out and discover new places to eat. Good food puts me in a happy mood. I like to dance when the music is to my liking and will often lose my shit if I really like the song. I like to balance that out with quiet nights marathoning some TV show I found underneath some comfy blankets and cursing when I have to leave to pee.

That's about all the introduction you are going to get. Want anything more from me? Let's meet up and see if we have the chemistry. There's nothing to lose.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I write, think it is good, then curse it for being shit. Repeat that process over and over again and there you go.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Producing random facts.
Reading people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I have really soft hands (handshakes)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Love anything by Stephen King, George R.R Martin, Neil Gaiman or Orson Scott Card. I'm particularly into dark sci fi/fantasy that doesn't follow a conventional path. Recent things that I have read and thought were good are 'The Name of the Wind' by Patrick Rothfuss, 'Ready Player One' by Ernest Cline and 'The Dice Man' by Luke Rhinehart.

Movies: Almost Famous, Moonrise Kingdom, Fight Club, American History X, A Bronx Tale, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, 28 Days Later, The Lost Boys, The Dark Knight. Lots of cheesy 80's stuff.

Music: Amanda Palmer, White Stripes, Muse, Bitter Ruin, Jason Webley, Nick Cave, Black Keys.

Shows: True Detective, Breaking Bad, Doctor Who, Californication, Carnivale, The Wire, Rome, Game of Thrones, Deadwood, Dexter, Hung, Archer, Ugly Americans, Rick and Morty, Orange is the New Black and pretty much anything that I can find in an hour of boredom on Netflix.

Food: I like to try everything at least once. Pizza is my favourite though.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pens: I always have two on me. I have a bit of an OCD thing that I developed in childhood. I found toys to be too rigid, so I played with pens. I would hold out a pen in front of me and visualise it as someone's arm. If I could visualise their arm then I could visualise what the rest of their body looked like. With a second pen I could repeat the process and imagine a second person. With two people now fully formed in my head I could picture the backdrop they stood in and the world that surrounded them. It is a habit I have carried into adulthood and use as a creative trigger when writing.

Social time: If I spend too much time in the house without doing something with people I start to go crazy. I'm already crazy enough as it is.

Intelligent conversation: It's always stimulating when I find someone who is intelligent to converse with or at the very least has something different to say.

Reddit: In my spare time I like looking up random facts about stuff. This website is a big help in that department.

A bucket list: I have a list of things that I wish to achieve in life that I am gradually crossing off.

Enemies: Nothing motivates you like a good adversary.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The ever growing stupidity of the human race. When the dumb people out fuck the smart people, this is what we are left with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably going out to some sort of session or a night out in town. Sometimes I'd rather stay in with a movie though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's not private if you admit it, is it?
