My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an unapologetic geek, who loves comic books and doing various computer related stuff and doing A LOT of writing lately. I finished a BFA in Creative Writing at UWM. I'm currently working as an independent video producer and writer.

I am humorous, brainy, and down to earth

I suppose the biggest thing I'm looking for is a best friend. I know, I know, a best friend on a dating site? But yeah, if you want to find someone to spend the rest of your life with, I think that person has to be your best friend.

I'm an odd duck, I know, because it takes me a while to really connect with people. As with most geeky people I have a bit of social awkwardness, which has gotten much better since I went back to college. As a consequence, it takes me a while to build up the will to take that next step, which... I'm afraid had turned people off.

I can just see most of you clicking "next" already, but if you're still reading, all I ask is a bit of patience. (Either that, or you suggest it) I'm sure that turns people off, and I wish it didn't, but to use a trite and probably meaningless phrase "it is what it is."

So, yeah, if you ARE still reading, thanks! I promise I'm a lot more cheerful when I actually talk to people!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing and video production.

Oh, and yes, I do speak Japanese. Sorta. I had three semesters. I'm working quite hard at it, but my brain seems to have trouble with vocabulary at times. That's what flash cards are for!

I'm mostly trying to figure out my writing career. It's a long road, and it can be tempting to take shortcuts. For now, I've opted to try a hybrid approach. I submit some pieces like normal, I self-publish others. Both are slow produce results, but I do have three "rejection badges" for submitting to publications. A writing career is NOT for the faint of heart...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Web development, writing, coming up with ideas.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably that I am overweight. It is something that I am constantly working on. It's made easier by getting some work done on my knees, making it less painful to walk and do other exorcize. I try and get out and walk once a day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Too, too many to mention here.

Hey, just ask! Talk about a conversation starter!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My comics,
my normal books,
the internet (Yes, I am a sad, sad dork)
my tablet w/keyboard (talk about reinventing writing... I write a lot more since I bought my tablet. Really good investment.)
my backpack
my Android phone
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mostly stuff I could write about, how to create great stuff for YouTube that people will watch. It's harder than it sounds. :/

... and superheroes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching snarky reviews on the Internet. Much better than most television, in my opinion.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like my secrets... they're secret...

...okay, okay. I'm kind of a hopeless romantic. My music collection has a lot of romantic songs and stuff...

...and I tend to relate to cats better than people >_>

You want to know someone who, while not the most outgoing guy out there, is fun and can hold a conversation on everything from TV to the oddest conspiracy theory out there.
