DC and Virginia Beach area native. I used to work in corporate marketing, which took me to NYC and included writing for ESPN for a few years, but eventually left to enjoy my passion of making a difference through education and became a high school teacher.
I stay active, physically fit, and also try to share a good laugh as much as possible, especially around my students and friends. In my spare time, I still like to enjoy writing.
What I’m doing with my life
I take great pride in my career as a teacher and coach! I love working with students and strive each day to make a positive impact in their lives. I recently took a group of students on an incredible summer trip to visit and travel around Europe. Some of my most prized possessions include the yearbooks and cards that I have signed by former students over the years and the pictures taken at their graduations.
I'm also currently back in grad school for a master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology.
I’m really good at
Making my students laugh. The karaoke machine I have in my
classroom can usually make things entertaining!
