I am Sarcastic, Easygoing, and Loyal.

My Self-Summary

I am a passionate, light-hearted, thoughtful guy looking for a calm, logical, funny girl. I am comfortable in social environments and have the ability to have fun in nearly any situation, but do enjoy a good surf at the beach with the occasional nap afterwards with the ocean in the background. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do and can find humor in most anything, though sometimes it may not always be appropriate. My family is perhaps the most important thing to me, and being the oldest of four kids in the family, I try my best to give council and lead by example for those in my family. My friends take a close second since they have become my adopted family down here.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm guessing this is to explain more about what I do for my job, which would be a commercial editor. That's right, I make those things that interrupt what you actually want to watch which is why you now own a TIVO, so you can fast forward through them. It's Ok, I do it myself most of the time too, but I do love what I do and hope to own my own shop someday.

I’m really good at

Besides my editing techniques, I still take very seriously the once career path, now turned hobby, which is the studio ceramic art I've done for close to 10 years. I take pride in the work I still do, from the simple bowl or vase, to my large wall hangings and installations. This also means I like seeing others work as well (not necessarily limited to just ceramic), so the Getty or LACMA is not a bad place to be on any given day. I tend to think I am not only creative, but handy as well, so fixing things around the house is actually fun for me.

The first things people usually notice about me

I would guess my height, but maybe my eyes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books would include anything from Gabriel Márquez (One Hundred Years of Solitude), to Harry Potter. I will read anything that is recommended and have time to sit down and read really.

Being a big movie buff, I like almost everything Kubrick did (Dr. Strangelove being at the foremost top of that list), to my favorite still living director of PT Anderson. I also love the occasional stupid movie, because who doesn't like to be simply entertained.

I love all food

The six things I could never do without

1) The ocean to surf in or large body of water to canoe in.
2) Snow, but only for the purposes of skiing on, and for the sound it makes under foot.
3) The mountains
4) Good food, whether it be cooked by me, friends, or a restaurant. I live to eat, not eat to live.
5) Family (and my pseudo-family; friends)
6) The ability to see. I guess I could live... but I like this ability toooooo much.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My mind is all over the place. Never on one topic for too long.

On a typical Friday night I am

Going out or staying in with good friends.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Not here, but I'm an open book, so you can ask me anything and I will answer honestly.
