I am insecure, dreamy, and talkative.

My Self-Summary

I'm a bit of a loner; spend most of my time on the laptop, reading and writing. I like hanging out with my friends, but I barely ever see them cause they live further away now. I talk to them on msn as much as I can. I absolutely love music, and I listen to a lot of different genres.

I still tend to be quiet in larger groups of people, but I can't seem to shut up when talking one-on-one. Getting new studygroups in school every so many weeks seems to be doing me a whole lot of good, and it's getting easier and easier to open up faster and just talk.

I love learning new things, and I'm very curious about everything, although I'm not a fan of the actual studying.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm still dealing with an anxiety disorder, but I honestly can't complain these days. I did loose a couple of years of my life being locked up in my room because it made my life too difficult. I know I still have problems with certain things, like going to lectures (which I don't) and overly crowded places, but it's not too hard to avoid these things. I'm doing better than I think sometimes.

At the moment, I'm studying Psychology at Maastricht University, and for the first time in a long, long while, I have the feeling that I'll get through it. Life is looking pretty good, I guess.

I’m really good at

Recommending music, listening, and keeping people talking while they should be doing something else. I easily understand complicated things, though actually memorizing them can be a problem.

The first things people usually notice about me

I guess the fact that I look rather boyish. It happens often enough that I am adressed with 'Sir' or 'Young man'. Then again, it doesn't really bother me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:
fiction: the Lovely Bones, Harry Potter 1-5, anything from Dan Brown or James Patterson. I read more fanfiction and such online than books though.
non-fiction: I'm currently reading Donald Palmer's philosophy introduction books and yes, I'm enjoying it. It's interesting.

Movies:
Battle Royale, Azumi, Fearless, Hero, Thoughtcrimes, Prey For Rock&Roll, Lost & Delirious, Bound, Imagine Me & You, Kill Bill, Underworld, V for Vendetta

TV:
NCIS, CSI (at least up to season 7), Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Music:
I have music in at least 10 different languages, and I only understand 2. I don't care about lyrics or genres, as long as it sounds good. Some of my favourite artists are: Herman van Veen, Stef Bos, Willem Vermandere, Toby Keith, Sugarland, the Zac Brown Band, Sarah Bettens, Kate Voegele, Kelly Clarkson, Tegan & Sara, Leonard Cohen, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Norah Jones, Frank Sinatra, Discipline, Beth Hart, Juli, Paramore, Tsunami Bomb, Linkin Park, Flogging Molly,....

Food:
Pizza, eggs, ghyros.

The six things I could never do without

Friends, Reading, Redbull, Music, Technology, Cigarettes

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Myself, the Future, Girls,...

I worry a lot, about everything. Hence the anxiety disorder.

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably lying in the couch, reading fanfiction and listening to music. I've never really liked going out, disorder or not. I go to a party about 3 times a year, and only because I miss my friends and it's the only way to see several of them at the same time. I'd rather have some friends come by and just hang around and talk.

You should message me if

You think we have something to talk about.
