My self-summary
I daydream and laugh a lot, which I personally find to be healthy. Life is too short to take too seriously. When first meeting people, I tend to be on the quiet side, but once I get to know you I open up.

I went to film school and even worked in the film industry for a little while after college. It definitely had its fun moments, but I couldn't see myself working in "the industry" my entire life. Although, film is still a big part of my life. I decided to go back to school to get my MA in education.

I love watching sports and am originally from Massachusetts, so I am a huge fan of the Boston teams. I'm a diehard fan of the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox. Yes, I'm a Celtics fan living in Los Angeles. If you listen closely when I talk you can even hear my Boston accent.

I enjoy running. I have run three marathons in the last year and a half (LA Marathon twice and San Francisco Marathon) and a handful of half marathons. Running marathons have been one of the best experiences of my life. Besides running, I like to hike even though I don't do it very often. I find it very peaceful and it's a good exercise.

I like to go to concerts. I really like going to the Hollywood Bowl. I like to see at least a few concerts a year. I especially enjoy going to classic rock concerts for the nostalgia trip and the opportunity to hang out with a bunch of baby boomers. My friends tell me I should have lived in the 1960s. I just simply love everything about the period. In my previous life I think I was a dirty hippie, who probably overdosed sometime in 1970.

I really like The Beatles. I truly admire everything they did in the world. I'm much more than just a casual fan and they are a true passion of mine. Just ask anyone that knows me.
What I’m doing with my life
I currently work at a university in LA. It's a good starting point for me and I'm excited by the opportunities it will bring me.

I volunteer a lot at a nonprofit arts education organization in Venice. I'm an artist mentor to at-risk kids aged 10-18, where I help the kids make movies. I also do general volunteer work for them as well. It keeps me busy and I enjoy it. Plus, I find it very fulfilling and fun. It is a real passion of mine.
I’m really good at
I should probably put running on here considering I have run three marathons.

Knowing useless knowledge for the hell of it.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my height. I'm short for a guy (5' 3"), but I don't really care. I'm not going to grow anymore, so I'm not worried about it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like to read nonfiction. Really into reading about The Beatles and John Lennon specifically. I've read a handful of John Lennon biographies. The man simply fascinates me and I could talk about him for hours. I also enjoy reading about the film industry.

My favorite movie is Boogie Nights. I'm a huge fan of P.T. Anderson. I got to meet him at a screening of There Will Be Blood in 2007 and freaked out. It was embarrassing. I went to film school, so I have plenty of favorite films. Other favorite films include Bonnie and Clyde, Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Sideways, Adaptation, Magnolia, Almost Famous, A Clockwork Orange, Annie Hall, Mulholland Drive, Rocky, and Jaws to name a few more.

My favorite shows right now are Mad Men, Archer, Grimm, How I Met Your Mother, New Girl, Parks and Recreation, and The Walking Dead. Back in the day I liked The X-Files, Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development, and The Wonder Years. The Universe on the History Channel is also awesome!

My favorite band is The Beatles. I've seen Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr a couple times each. Other favorites include Pink Floyd, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, David Bowie, and Bob Dylan to name a few. I really like a wide range of music from the 60s, 70s, and even 80s. I'm just a huge fan of classic rock. Although, my friends are introducing me to some more contemporary music such as MGMT, The Gaslight Anthem, Grizzly Bear, Local Natives, and M83.

I tried to be a vegan once, but that lasted only a couple hours. It's a long story. Nothing beats eating prime rib. It's my favorite. Seafood is also very good.
The six things I could never do without
1. my mind
2. The Beatles
3. Boston sports
4. my running shoes
5. my GPS
6. my record player
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie roll center of a Tootsie pop? It's one of life's greatest mysteries. If you have the answer please let me know.

The Universe and how it is "humongous big".
On a typical Friday night I am
I usually go to bed early on Friday night since I have to wake up early Saturday morning for my running group.

As for Saturdays, every week is different. Some nights I go out with friends, while other nights I simply relax. Maybe watch a film or catch up on tv shows on my DVR.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I keep a step stool in my apartment for those hard to reach places. What can I say? I'm short.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–30
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I want to meet someone who is passionate about life. It's always great to meet someone who is also creative, likes to laugh, and thinks outside the box.

While my religious beliefs don't really dictate my life, I would prefer to meet someone with similar beliefs. I've dated people overly religious and it just doesn't work out for a number of reasons. Same can be said with my political beliefs. If you are a Republican, then we are probably not going to get along very well. Just trying to be honest.

Bonus points if you like The Beatles or enjoy running. I'm always looking for a running partner.
