My self-summary
I'm... quirky. I have an off-beat sense of humor, a deep appreciation of the disturbing and bizarre, and my mind is a sponge for useless information - I rock at trivia.

I'm a bit of a nerd. I like sci-fi shows, superhero movies, and video games. I'm a bit of a grammar nazi, and I have an over-developed affection for the use of the ellipsis...

I studied theatre and music in college, and education in grad school. I love seeing live theatre, but don't get to see it as often as I would like.

It takes me far longer to cook a meal than the recipe indicates.

Though I love dogs and tolerate cats, I'm allergic to dander. My only pet is hypo-allergenic.

INFP... though that may vary depending on my mood...
What I’m doing with my life
I'm taking a break from working as a licensed theatre teacher to try a job that will actually pay the bills. I'm also slowly making my way through graduate school.

I'm currently working on returning to several unfinished but much-loved writing projects from yesteryear. I love writing. I also love to travel, but don't get the opportunity nearly as often as I'd like.
I’m really good at
1) Remembering useless facts
2) Injecting humor into a tense situation
3) Quoting movies/shows/song lyrics
4) Listening
5) Telling stories
6) Getting songs stuck in other people's heads (I actually describe this as my superpower.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I start off pretty quiet, boil over into really goofy, and eventually calm down to a comfortable chatty simmer. Then again, maybe they just notice the shaved head.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Song lyrics. I tell my co-workers that my head is like a giant Juke Box stuck on random... but sometimes a single song gets stuck playing in a loop for days at a time!

Why most of my favorite shows last two seasons or less.
On a typical Friday night I am
Could be any one of several things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Some of my co-workers have taken to calling me "Pirate Mike" - there's a whole story there.
I’m looking for
  • Straight girls only
  • Ages 26–36
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You love "Welcome to Night Vale" as much as I do, you need an incredibly talented partner for a game of Cranium or Trivial Pursuit, you have any additional questions about me, your appreciation of the bizarre rivals my own, or if you'd be interested in meeting.

Any one of these is a good enough reason... you don't need all of them.
