I'm... quirky. I have an off-beat sense of humor, and my "mental train" has a tendency to "de-rail," giving me some really strange thoughts that only make sense to me, but are really funny. It helps that my mind is a sponge for useless information - I rock at trivia. Also, my extended family loves Trivial Pursuit. Who wins depends on which edition we're playing. I dominate at Genus IV.

I'm kind of a nerd. I like sci-fi shows and superhero movies, I enjoy video games, I'm a sucker for romantic comedies. I enjoy disc golf, bowling, and pool (though I'm not very good at any of them).

I studied theatre and music in college. I don't get to see live theatre nearly as much as I would like, but I thoroughly enjoy it when it happens. I also enjoy concerts and occasional trips to the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

It takes me far longer to cook a meal than the recipe indicates.

Though I love dogs, I'm allergic to dander, which rules out pretty much any pet with fur. This is why I have a pet snake... which is funny, since I used to be afraid of snakes.

I teach theatre at a junior high school. I'm also working on a second license in English, and I'm very close to completing my Master's degree in Teaching.

I enjoy travel, and hope that I'll soon be able to do more of it - I'd especially like to return to Ireland someday. I'd also love to go to Germany or Japan. My most recent trips were Arizona to visit my sister and her family in 2012, and Las Vegas in the Spring of 2011. Other notable previous destinations include Ireland, Hawaii, and the Bahamas.

Plays: Favorites to read include Equus, The Eumenides, and The Last 5 Years. Favorites I've seen are Metamorphoses and Brief Encounter.

Food: Thai, Mexican, and Italian. I think I could live off of Chicken Pad Thai if I had to.

Well, it seriously depends on the kind of week I've had. I might go out to dinner with friends, stay in and watch something on Netflix, catch a movie in the theatre, do homework, visit family...
