I'm a good listener, much better at that than talking about myself. I'm privileged white middle class male, cliche to say this but I think recognizing ones privilege is pretty important. I'm an only child but not selfish, I swear. I'm anti authority generally and not much into electoral politics (read anarchist), despite the common notion that one can make a difference by voting one millionaire into office over another.

I am empathetic, sweet, and bitter

I'm taking care of my grandmother, working very part-time and am about half way through the Ashland Institute of Massage program here in Ashland. I plan on finishing the couple of terms I have left to get my bachelors next. probably in the fall. Eventually I'd like to attend a Chinese medical college. I spent a year in an apprenticeship in chinese medicine and loved it. I've been study martial arts for years now and even when I'm really busy it's an important part of my life. Also causing trouble, going to punk shows, dance parties and the like.

I'm good at grasping the bigger picture, understanding the dynamics at play in a situation. I'm also good at listening which is difficult often for men socialized to think more linearly in terms of problem solving or cost benefit analysis.

At first that I'm quiet, observant and yet engaged with what's going on around me. Eventually people realize that I can be equally outgoing, dorky and a freak.

I spend a lot of time attempting to be without intellectualizing everything. More often than not I fail though and think about political theory and praxis, philosophy and how some balance could be restored in our relationships with each other and our planet.

These days in A-town Taboo seems to be the spot on a friday night, good friends, beats and good vibes. You might find me at a punk show, even if the spirit of punk rock is pretty much in peril some folks still hold it down. I also love to stay at home and cook food and run a more family vibe, if that's available I'll often choose that over going out.
