Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A night owl out of habit. Lover of cats and petter of dogs. A
caretaker of gardens, house plants and creatures. Not basic or
square. Laughter is necessary. Adjust accordingly.
It still feels like I'm new in town but I suppose it's not the case
any more. Originally from L.A. and I moved up here to open a
restaurant. That's all wrapped up so I'm starting my own business
I'm a humanist and a positive soul overrall. It's harsh to hear
that we're what's wrong in the world. That's only a half truth.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a chef and managing a restaurant. Making new friends,
staying out way too late, waking up way too early, recipe testing,
feeding ducks, chasing busses that I've missed, gardening, drinks
and making delicious things. Pouring through my pages of
notes..re-writing my notes.
I quit smoking and started running this year. I'm still a beginner
but I'm pretty sure that I'm doing it right.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being observant, conversating, listening, getting to know this city
on foot, yardsale shopping, finding Interesting things to watch on
youtube, guessing where the moon will be, driving, writing, baking,
typos, drawing funny pictures of food. Knowing where that lamp
should go. Milking any spare second of my life that I possibly can
before I fall asleep. Not falling asleep.
The first things people usually notice about me

My glasses and my beard. Sometimes, my hat if I'm wearing one. The

I read all the things. Randomly bought a Bruno Schulz comp and it's
pretty good. Train Dreams was amazing. Ursula Le guin is always on
There's hardly enough room for food and tv shows so I'll just say:
George Costanza is one of the best tv characters of all time.
Sushi, ice cream and coconut-y things. Really good bread and
cheese. Grapes, quince, cherries, peaches and guavas. Cucumbers
with lime and salt. Pies, lemon desserts, cheeseburgers and thin
crust pizza. I had to teach myself everything about Souhern food so
I make a mean biscuit.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My wits. My friends. My sisters. Japanese food. I could do without
a lot of things. The world before the internet was still pretty
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to spend my free time. Life, joy, love, loss, food, people,
potential, history, sex, nature, science, art, stupid puns,
Katamari, serendipity, songs I like, people I like, alternate
realities, memes that I can't help but laugh at, cosmic things and
the universe in general.
How ancient Egyptians invented emojis and created their written
language around it. They were crazy good texters.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Likely working and then finding something to do afterwords. You
just have to make the best of your time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I played Rebecca Black's Friday as a joke so many times that I
started to like it and now still listen to it on purpose sometimes.
