Let's see, where to begin? My name's James, pleased to meet you. I'll think of something a little more witty in the near future, but in the mean time, the essentials.

I'm a middle of the road kind of guy. I think I'm just off center to not be normal but not so far that I can be called quirky. I can fit into almost any situation. However if I don't like someone, I won't hide it. And reciprocally, it'll probably be very evident if I do like you.

I know a little about a lot of things rather than a lot about a little.

I'm an idea man. I'm always thinking of things to do and places to go. Also I come up with a lot of business ideas and movie ideas. One of these days it will make me a lot of money.

I like to travel but most of my travels are to now visit friends and family that are scattered about the country. But for the last few years a friend and I have been taking trips in an attempt to visit every major league ballpark.

I brew my own beer. It tastes better and there is nothing like drinking that first sip of something you've made.

Well I just moved back to the Chicago area after living in Los Angeles the last four years. I'm currently living in South Elgin but got a job in Schaumburg, so I'll probably be moving there in the near future.

I'm currently working as a server at Bahama Breeze. It's a job (glad I have one in this economy) and pays the bills but I'll be looking for something different in the future.

And I've been on a kick recently of discovering my roots. So I'm spending a lot of free time digitizing old family photos and filling out my family tree.

Word searches. For whatever the reason my brain can easily pick out words from a bunch of letters. I used to be really good at names and faces but that seems to have diminished as I've killed my brain cells throughout the years. Of course I'm still pretty good at naming actors with their movies.

Well I'll list a few possibilities. I'm over six feet, not giant tall but still taller than most of the population. I've been told I have a good smile. My sense of humor probably gets noticed relatively early as well.

I'm a big movie buff, all types and yes that includes the subtitled ones. Some favorite ones would be The Last of the Mohicans, Maelstrom, Rushmore, and pretty much anything Bill Murray, John Candy or Steve Martin are in. I also like good documentaries.

I wouldn't say I'm a big reader, mostly magazines, but I do sometimes read just before I go to bed. I pretty much enjoy every book that I finish. If they don't hold my attention I won't keep reading it. The last one was called the Complete Walker. It's a nuts and bolts book about hiking and camping.

My favorite music would be classic rock. But I pretty much like anything. Strike that, I like things from most genres. I am a little discerning.

Italian is my favorite type of food. Any thing with pasta and red sauce. Or maybe I should say pizza is my favorite food. I'll have that probably once a week or so.

But when I'm not I'll usually be hanging out with friends. Whether that's at a bar, someone's house or catching a ballgame or concert. It's all good if you're with friends.
