I have good sense of humor; I'm a good listener and a good storyteller; open minded; intelligent but silly (sometimes). I can be childLIKE without being childISH. A scientist by training but I can spell (no, really!). I like to sing, and in my range, I'm pretty good. I like solving problems and coming up with new ideas.

I'm looking for work
I like to play poker at the restaurants and bars nearby, and sometimes even win dinner. I also play Warcraft - look me up, I'm Leiulong on the Azuremyst server.
I'm on staff at Dragon*Con, come see me at the disability services table, at one of the big panels, in the gaming hall, or taking pictures wherever cool costumes are to be found.

translating from English to English. I can figure out how to relate the RELEVANT parts of a conversation to people who, despite both speaking fluent English, do not share a common language - ever tried to talk to your computer tech? Cell phone guy?

Books: I'll read most fiction, but mostly lean towards science fiction short stories and novels, bio-thrillers, horror, and the occasional modern murder mystery. Oh, and Scientific American magazine.

Movies: I prefer movies to film, theater, or cinema, but I'm not above a good indie flick either. Action / stuff that blows up in an entertaining way, science fiction, psychological horror (not stuff that jumps out at you and goes boo, like Freddie and Jason), and anime. Also, I get together with friends to watch horrible, horrible, painful B movies.

Music: Classic and semi-hard rock, 80's, movie soundtracks, the blues, and little corners of most genres from metal to rap to country to classical.

Food: I like most food - I'll try just about anything that hasn't made an appearance on Bizarre Foods. Some favorites: Sushi, pizza, cheeses from around the world, spicy foods like Thai and Indian, Mexican, steak.

Family, friends, internet access, air conditioning, books, my contact lenses (or glasses).
