My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a gentle kind of person with a soft spot for animals. I've got a childlike sense of fun about a lot of things (even "adult" things). I tend to see most things in many shades of gray and feel puzzled when others don't. I'm more of a "both/and" kind of person than an "either/or" - blame it on being biracial and bisexual. I live life with passion for learning new things, experiencing as much as I can, and enjoying what's in front of me. When I see something that I like, I don't just want to admire - I want to try too.

I'm a city girl at heart, but right now I'm spending my time in Santa Cruz, while I figure out next steps. I may be here for months or years, but this is not the final stop on my journey.

I have had some really crazy and hilarious part-time jobs to help fund my graduate studies. Ask me about them sometime over a drink.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Making music, cooking brunch, happy hour, going to shows, rocking costumes, exploring, talking and listening to people, road tripping, reading, belly dancing, running, boundary-pushing (my own boundaries, that is - I respect other people's boundaries)... And yes, I have a real job too!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Adapting. Balance. Living in grey areas. Playing. Getting down on the dance floor. Seeing other people's point of view, and still having my own. Jumping in courageously and/or recklessly, as the case may be. Living wholeheartedly.
The first things people usually notice about me

I have been told by several people that I have a great laugh, which I take as a fabulous compliment. I employ said laugh frequently.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Free time, affection, conversation, music, sunshine, learning new things. Sure, not essential for survival, but essential for thriving.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
People, and what makes them tick. My next vacation. What to make for dinner. How to get the most out of my life. Possible tattoo designs. How Jack Black and Jack White should collaborate on a record.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Open to suggestions. I'm particularly fond of checking out live music, including but not limited to music of the danceable kind. Also easily convinced to spend too much money on a truly delicious meal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In 5th grade, I joined the "cool kids club", where the popular kids (read: them) taught the less-than-popular kids (read: us) how to be cool by teaching us how to do things like cuff our jeans properly and not wear (gasp) leggings.

Obviously, it worked.
