Woo! Ok so on Tuesday my fiance John and I made Thanksgiving dinner for his family...all by ourselves. It was our first time cooking a turkey. We...accidentally cooked it with the giblets still in it...but you know what? They didn't hurt anything and now we know where to find them! I honestly couldn't stop laughing at the world "giblet" though...I mean seriously...you say it enough times and I bet you can't help but crack a smile at least!

We made the potatoes differently than his mom does. They were most excellent! And since it was our first time making the whole dinner John suggested that I make up a "signature" dish. I made this delicious orange cream cheese spread. It was just sweet enough to make the rolls taste like their own desert...but was "dippy" enough to be used throughout dinner! I also made some tasty meatballs in a chili sauce + jellied cranberries glazy sauce thing. Everyone who say me making them was dubious...but everyone took back every negative thing they said. They were a big hit. For dessert we were supposed to put some frozen pies in the oven...but we forgot to do it. Luckily I was making shortbread tarts for dessert instead. They were SCRUMPTIOUS!
