Apparently having this anywhere else was just not getting it noticed. I have no interest at all in the following:

-Finally, please don't open with a fetish. But if you're going to open with your fetish, please don't let it be the most interesting thing about you. (I really wish that didn't have to be included)

Still here? At the moment, I'm looking for friends and casual dating. Nothing that starts out really serious but I would love to find some people with whom I could play board games or just hang out. I enjoy theatre, movies, reading, special effects makeup, and the bizarre. Fair warning, I can get ranty when I get excited about a subject. I'm almost always up for trying a new restaurant and discussions about a hypothetical future where cephalopod overlords rule with an iron shell or tentacle are welcome. I am on the heavier side, if that's a problem for you that's fine but please don't try to make it my problem.

Currently I'm working in a medical lab that does all sorts of tests. Along with all of that, I run training for my department. Basically I have tons of stories I think are pretty nifty about body parts and pieces that I should never tell around the dinner table. I currently work a lot of overtime and in the evening. This doesn't leave a ton of time for meeting people, so here I am.

Long term plans include working with enough time for travel, I have an extensive list of places I would love to visit, and working on some side projects that really interest me. Including learning more about Russian and Italian Futurism, Russian politics, Nikolai Tesla (building tesla coils), and surrealism.

I recently adopted a wonderful and adorable rescue dog so a lot of my free time is taken up with working with and training her. She's doing wonderfully overall but has a few issues from her very tragic backstory.

Reading is one of my favorite activities so choosing favorite books is difficult. But to give it a shot I'd have to include; After Dark by Haruki Murakami, The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas, Tinker by Wen Spencer, A Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, and Sherlock Holmes in its entirety by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I really enjoy scifi, fantasy, non fiction about subjects that interest me, mystery, plays, and feminist literature. Recently I was introduced to the genre of Bizarro andI've fallen in love with it.

Movies tend to run the gamut as well, I really enjoy everything
from classics like Rear Window (Hitchcock in general is a favorite) to B movies such as Army of Darkness to movies like I'm a Cyborg but That's Ok to 80's classics like Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. Unless it is particularly atypical or funny I don't generally care for romance or chick flick type movies, they really tend to irritate me as the ultimate goal is usually that one person (male) that's truly right for the main character, even if she has to completely change her life for him. Not to mention even though they had a problem, its ok, it was all a misunderstanding, he really does love her even though he lied to her!

As far as food goes, I'm willing to try just about anything. I love
cooking and baking and I'm that person in the produce aisle saying, "Do you know what this is? No? Well, I'll give it a shot." With restaurants, I have a Thai and Greek restaurant on nearly every side of town. I love trying new things, if you have any recommendations, please let me know.

The zombie apocalypse and what I would do to prepare for it, soap opera situations (think evil twins showing up) in real life, electricity, how things work, the history and politics of chocolate and chocolate companies (I spent several years at an upscale chocolate company, its actually an interesting subject, full of drama and invention), gender and gender constructs, feminism, Science!, Cthulhu, giant stompy robots, capes, the eventual cephalopod revolution.

I technically have amnesia. My life is one goatee'd, evil twin and a good narrator away from being a soap opera.

You enjoy reading, theatre, movies, discussions about the possibilities of living under the sea, tech, animal rescue or training, time travel (and the possibility of a separate grammatical tense for it), or art. Bonus points if you got as excited as I did when astronomers working with NASA announced they'd found a possibly earthlike planet, Kepler-22b, it's out there.

Let me reiterate, romantically, I'm not interested in couples or poly relationships. If that's what works for you, huzzah, it is not for me. However, I am usually up for new friends.
