My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

My name is Andrew but most of my friends call me Andy. I am an ENFP (if you care) and what many would consider an OK Cupid veteran; I've been here now for more than four years now. I’m simply holding out to find the right woman; the one that speaks to my soul and doesn't let go (this used to be LEGO, but not enough people got the pun, so I'm changing it). Think that could be you? Then by all means, keep reading.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I keep a pretty busy life. I am what would be classified in the job industry as a Quality Assurance Agent / Game Theory Consultant.

This means is that I use software and play games in an attempt to “break” them which helps the companies make their product more marketable. I have done this for a variety of systems but tend to prefer the console/mobile games market because they're omnipresent in today's society. It keeps me happy and constantly busy.

The most recent app that I have worked on is Bridgy Jones which released on the Apple App store on June 7th, 2013.

When I’m not working or playing games for fun (the benefit of my job is that I get to do what I love!) you can usually find me reading on my iPad in the park via it’s Kindle application.

I own a pretty decent camera, a Fujifilm 5S, so you can usually find me out and about taking pictures in or around buildings, and parks around town, or reading a book on composition.

07/19/2014, I attended the marriage of one of my best friends and her fiancé that she met on here. It was a wonderful ceremony.

I started the Keto Diet on the 28th of July, 2014, and have lost 45.2 pounds thus far... 45.8 more to go and I will have hit my goal!

September 13th, 2014, I saw Garth Brooks on his official comeback World Tour with his wife Trisha Yearwood in Rosemont, IL. It was amazing.

November 3rd, 2014, I saw Alton Brown on his The Edible Inevitable Tour, right here in South Bend/Mishawaka! It was _amazing_.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I have been told that I am really good at being a reliable friend. I consider friendship the most important thing in my life because while family may come and go, friends are those people you love and allow to become permanent fixtures in your day-to-day world. Whether it is being a shoulder to cry on, or the friend to catch up with, I am always available to the people I care about and who need me the most.

I have also been known to open up my doors to friends in need; whether it’s a place to crash for the night or a place to store things, I will do anything I physically can to make sure my friends and loved ones are taken care of. They are the family I have chosen to let into my life, and I have no intentions of letting them go.

My friends have told me that I am a master at terrible jokes and have also been told that I have "amazing" skills at music song title mash-ups. Not only can I separate it by artist, I can also separate it by year. For example: A Room at the Heartbreak Hotel Where The Streets Have No Name, If You Wear That Velvet Dress All I Want Is You, Slow Dancing. If you can beat this, I will take you to dinner.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I’ve been told it’s my eyes. They are a swirled mixture of blue and grey. After that, people tend to comment on the patches I wear on my jacket; my favorite jacket is denim and I have recently taken to covering it in patches (one flag for every country I have visited, and several patches of things that interest me; three of which were even custom made). After that it is quite possibly my dimples (yes, I said dimples, I have holes on both sides of my face). They are the most readily apparent when I smile. Lastly, it's usually my shoes. I have a pair of grey Vans with bright yellow speed shoe laces.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love two kinds of books more than others: those that interest me, and those that inspire and move me.

Some of my favorite books include: Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything (it’s my favorite book ever written!). I also love Neil Gaiman and I particularly love his book Neverwhere. I am currently reading Divergent by Veronica Roth.

I love radio shows and pod-casts; some of my favorites include: This American Life , Wait Wait Don't Tell Me , Prairie Home Companion , and other things similar in nature to these.

On the pod-cast side of the interwebs, I enjoy listening to The Moth Cast, This American Life, The Best Radio You Have Never Heard, and A Life Well Wasted before it stopped airing. I am always looking for new stations though so if you have recommendations feel free to send them my way. :)

I am a movie media buff! Because of this it can be hard for me to pick a few favorites, but if I had to they would be: Bicentennial Man, The Shawshank Redemption, Stranger Than Fiction, When Harry Met Sally or Synecdoche, New York, and Spike Jonzes' Her.

With all of the available alternatives, I don't really watch TV anymore. That said my very favorite TV show of ALL time is Doctor Who! Seriously, I own every episode ever made, aside from the "missing" episodes. I also love the spin off series Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Though, CW's Flash is currently climbing the ranks of my favorite shows pretty fast. I also enjoyed Firefly and John Doe even though each of them only lasted a season. I also enjoy watching: X-Files, Good Eats, Mystery Science Theatre 3000, and Star Trek (Voyager and The Next Generation). Things that are still airing that I watch include: Doctor Who, The Flash, Mythbusters, and Ghost Adventures (which I consider a guilty pleasure. If you have never seen it, I strongly encourage you to watch it with me some time!).

My music interests span across both genre and generation. I listen to everything from Hawaiian Reggae, to German hard-rock to Classical and back. I consider my true musical love however Post-rock instrumentalist.

An example of those genres would include: J Boog , Rammstein , Francesco Geminiani (too out there? try Johann Sebastian Bach or Antonio Vivaldi), and Moonlit Sailor.

My personal favorite artists include: a-ha, Mumford & Sons, and Moonlit Sailor.

If you listen to the kind of music I do or are interested in hearing more feel free to check out my at:

When it comes to food I will eat anything. I have a love for Italian however, specifically pastas. My favorite dish is Macaroni & Cheese. My second favorite dish would either be potstickers or Chinese chicken rice soup with a touch of Sriracha. I also have a love of sushi and it’s important to me that people give food a fair chance. I will try anything once.

By nature of loving to experiment, I am also an experimental cook. I will burn something, I will fry something, I will deep fry something in the deepest darkest attempts in to the process of learning what makes it good to eat. Yes, admittedly that's made some pretty bad fumes in my house... though it’s also created some amazing masterpieces!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
First of all… why is it six when seven is considered lucky?

My six:

1: My Family; I love them dearly and this includes the extended family I don’t often get to see.
2: My cat, Snickers; this little furball knows exactly what to do to make me smile any time I’m feeling down.
3: Iced Tea & Lemonade, together; with the amount I drink this, Arnold Palmer had better watch out: I think I am going to steal his drink from him!
4: My friends; they mean the absolute world to me.
5: The internet. Cliché as this answer is, I love my thirst for knowledge and the internet surely helps fuel it.
6. My bicycle. I bike everywhere I go because I opted to own a house instead of a car. I love just getting on it and going places. It's exhilarating.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about how I can better entertain my friends. I think about books for ideas that I would like to write, stupid inventions that make millions (who thought to actually market the Snuggie, anyways?), and I wonder what my friends and family are up to as I think about them.

I also think a lot about temptation and giving into my sense of wanderlust. I love to travel. To date I've been to several provinces in Canada and have visited Mexico, Italy, Greece, Turkey, France, the United Kingdom, and approximately twenty-five states. I take pride in myself about being open minded towards the world around me and the people in it, and I am always trying to learn new things about this world. With this, comes my inherent need to try to understand it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
On a typical Friday night I am either reading on my iPad, tormenting (playing! I mean playing with!) my cat, Snickers, hanging out with friends, browsing & moderating Reddit (I mod such subreddits as /r/lifeprotips, /r/cats.. etc) or looking for the next creative thing to occupy my mind.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I fall for people hard and fast. I am quick to wear my emotion on my sleeve and this can be off-putting to people who are not looking for someone willing to commit. I have also discovered that being slightly dependent myself emotionally, I prefer women who are capable of reciprocating that sense of need and balance in their personal lives.

I own a home, but have opted not to own a car. This is so I can focus on building and perfecting my home. I prefer to ride a bicycle, and save my money to travel. I find that this can deter some people, though, I assure you I am still capable of getting where I need to go.

I have musical instrument Synesthesia; because of my synesthesia I also have a love of bright colors. Mikado Yellow and Jonquil Yellow are my favorite (FFCC33 and F4CA16; props if you know what this means!). I also have Escalaphobia. If you don't know what any of these are or mean. I would be happy to explain them to you if you don't already know.

I collect LEGO and have been known to break down and put them to good use from time to time, although, right now, a majority of my LEGO is at my brother's house for safe keeping.

I still missed my deceased cat, Shadow. May he requiescat in pace. From 1994-2010 I raised him; from 4 weeks old to 16 years old and 4 weeks.

On a lighter note: my current cat Snickers plays fetch. I didn't even need to teach him how. I simply fostered his behavior by playing it with him once or twice a day after I discovered he knew how to play it.
