My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Not my first rodeo. Keeping expectations to a minimum and simply looking to meet some nice person to spend time with. I'm an adult professional who cleans up nice, works in the cultural arts and has fully embraced absurdity and living within contradictions. I'm only into win-win situations, fully GGG and enthusiastic in every respect. An ENFP if that's your bag.

Fair warning:I have tattoos, a few big ones, but I'm not a "tattoo" guy. Like 'em on other people but some of my best friends are entirely blank.

I prefer the company of women that are height (taller) and size (bigger) appropriate to myself. But long ago when I first checked into this here dating site I met a few very lovely gals who did not fit my "ideal type" which is a lesson I try to take to heart. Sometimes what you want isn't always whats best for you, dig?

Recently rescued a pit bit mix from the Jefferson Parrish ASPCA who besides being adorable also gets me out of the house quite a bit.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Finally getting all the ducks in a row. Feeling very optimistic when everybody else seems to be feeling really down. I never signed on to the generally accepted narrative so I'm not upset that it doesn't work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Dancing. Folks tell me I remind them of Jackie Gleason on the dance floor.

Talking. Need to put a lid on it but I've been told I'm a charming conversationalist.

There's other stuff, but we can talk about that in person.

Really? As if a long list of things I like is going to give you a window into my character. The truth is that until recently making media for consumption has been a major part of my entire life thus far. I have at alternating and overlapping periods been a published journalist, an weekly NPR radio DJ, a visiting professor of cultural arts and music performance, a Music Supervisor for motion pictures and television, a bit character actor, and mostly a traveling musician with concert tours of over 25 countries.

But I'll wager you're probably more interested in knowing I keep my place nice and straightened up, I dress pretty darn good for a big boy and I work hard at not being a jerk.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Really? Wow. These conceits tire me, frankly.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Rather complex and potentially deeply boring concepts about economics, social structures and inequality and how culture works in and against these pressures. I try not to let it get me down however.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Up for about anything. Even going to shul.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Can't even muster a clever response. Secrets tend to be toxic to healthy interactions at any rate.

you are brave. And bravery is always rewarded. Be brave. We're not kids anymore. It's so much easy being an adult, I promise.
