My self-summary
I started out as an education student at a local community college. Due to some interesting circumstances I'm now double majoring in education and liberal arts. I'm attending CCV at the location closest to my home. I once had plans of attending a different school but when the time came to apply I took the easy way out and chose a community college.

I'm not on here very often. You'd probably have better luck finding me on DeviantArt under the name of Minnat. Creative I know.

I spend a lot of time daydreaming and I've been accused of having my head in the clouds.

I'm shy. It's not so much that I have nothing to say but that I don't know what to say and I feel nervous starting conversations with people I don't know. So I'm quiet. Even when hanging out with friends, I'm more of a listener than a talker.

I am a Red Sox fan, an anime fan, slightly obsessed with Doctor Who, and occasionally very hard to understand as I leap from one idea to another without evidence of a thought process.

I have four cats. I really can't see myself living without at least one cat around somewhere.

I am quiet, shy, and a bit of a geek
What I’m doing with my life
I'm taking courses at CCV to get my associates in liberal arts and education. I plan on transferring to Keene State or maybe UVM someday to take courses in art education someday. I want to become an elementary school art teacher because I like working with younger kids and I like art. With any luck this is the sort of profession I can stay interested in.

I once had a summer job at a nuclear power plant. It was fun, but I was not allowed to paint the hallways glow-in-the-dark colors. I am currently unemployed.
I’m really good at
I'm kind of a dabbler. I read, knit, write poetry, watch television, play around making jewelry, Draw (I don't draw well, but I tend to scribble prolifically), make origami figures, I cook, and apparently I have a terrible habit of quoting whatever I'm currently reading or watching.
The first things people usually notice about me
Ummm... that I'm blond...? That I wear glasses? That I don't talk much? I don't really know. Not having met myself before I can't say what people notice about me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Almost anything by Neil Gaiman esp. the Sandman Series, Anything by Mercedes Lackey (with a few exceptions), Forgotten Realms, especially R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt Do'Urdan books and The Cleric Quintet. The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher I tried his Codex series and I just couldn't get into it. I also enjoy some of the Harpers series. Howl's Moving Castle/Castle in the Air/House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, The Belgariad, The Mallorean, The Elenium, and occasionally The Tamuli series by David and Leigh Eddings.

Movies: Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Pretty much anything by Miyazaki actually, The Cat Returns, The Princess Bride, V for Vendetta, Pirates of the Caribbean, not so much the second one, but the first and third were AWESOME, The first Matrix movie, the second and third were okay, but I felt cheated by the ending. A whole bunch of action-y type movies (Kung-Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer, Shanghai Knights, or maybe it was Noon...), Some Disney/WB stuff, ((ex. Quest for Camelot)) musicals (RENT, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, Cats, 1776) Ink. <- New favorite. Amazing movie.

Music: Pretty much anything but country, My mp3 player has mostly theme songs from various anime, plus The Who, Simon and Garfunkel, The Shaw Brothers, The Clancy Brothers, and Elton John but I also like The Beatles, The Monkees, All American Rejects, Green Day and other bands both modern and not. I also have a fondness for music boxes.

Foods: pasta, cake, fruit, scrambled eggs, rice, meat (with the exception of mutton, duck, rabbit and venison which I haven't tried. Not sure I want to either), seafood, sushi, crab rangoons,

Anime/Manga: Black Cat, Fruits Basket, Bleach, Ghost Hunt, Spiral, Tokyo Mew Mew (but not Tokyo Mew Mew ala Mode), Rurouni Kenshin, Ouran High School Host Club, D.Gray-Man was good, it's a shame the anime ended.

TV: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (LV), NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Doctor Who (9th and 10th doctors), The Real Ghostbusters, The Mentalist, Eleventh Hour (American Version), Leverage (It's hilarious), Castle, and I've recently been introduced to Firefly and Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The six things I could never do without
Computer, cats, family/friends, emotions, various media, imagination
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The Future, my dreams, life, the universe, everything, the time stream (see the Doctor Who episode Blink and maybe you'll understand), paradoxes, love, free will, books, people, fluffy clouds, trees, and sometimes I try to prescript life. However I find that other people tend to get their lines wrong.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching TV or a Movie, On the computer, Sleeping, wandering around Downtown, playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cry easily, I name, and talk to, inanimate objects, I quote things and like to discuss plot lines in what I'm watching, reading, or playing. In short I'm somewhat annoying.

If my profile interests you at any point, or you just want clarification on something let me know. I'll probably explain it. I won't guarantee that the explanation will make sense though. :)

I also can't guarantee answers. Believe me, it's not you, it's me and my stupid insecurities.
