My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
For pay, I am a professional scientist. Whew. There. Man, admitting it is always the hardest step. Anyway, I study gene regulation in embryonic stem cells, neurons and autism .

**** Just got myself a JOB in Barcelona. I leave Aug 31*****

But I don't define myself by my profession. What I mean is that I cherish the irreverent and random. I like people who put on funny voices and are generally happy. The giggle at a funeral, if you will. I try to be as spontaneous and fun while still getting shit done. I want all the world's experiences. Every last one of 'em.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.

I travel when I get the chance but usually to see friends, explore or work. Not to Eat, Pray, and Love. Would love to go to Costa Rica to surf. Am off to Barcelona in September to go to study Autism. Once I'm there I fully plan on hitting up each and every nation on the Mediterranean.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
not bragging.
The first things people usually notice about me

Sweet christ, now that's a man.

Books I've read (off the top o' my head) probably within the last six months or so:

Leaving Atocha Station
Americanah (currently)
Still LIfe With Woodpecker
How Should a Person Be?

I like music that's not country or R&B. Usually more on the rock side of things.

I enjoy food and drinks that are simple. (Think bread, cheese, and cheap wine/beer) unless someone else is doing the cooking.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, OKC prompts for one. Internet for two. Beer, whiskey n weed might have to be three through five. And I'll take sex for six and the win. Boom
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell
him is, "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another
cute thing to tell him is, "Probably because of something you did."

Thanks, Jack Handy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
doing something typical. Just Matt being Matt.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

if you want to explain art, talk books or see some shows. Preferably while under the influences but I can straight edge too.

You are down with terms like sex-positive, GGG, etc. Experience has shown that I get along best with folk who self-identify as queer, sex-positive, feminist, queer friendly or all of the above.

Bonus points if by "unicorn" you thought I meant a person and got excited. I didn't. I really mean I ride a be-horned animal off into a double rainbow but, hey, I like where your head's at.
